THE PLACE OF THE NOOSPHERE IN COSMIC EVOLUTION
Illuminating the hypothesis of the biosphere–noosphere transition, based on the principles of the formation of the planet as a whole system.
NOOSPHERE — the layer of mind. A key term for the transition from the involution of spirit into matter (material complexification) to the evolution of spirit out of matter into consciousness (the transformation of matter into consciousness, or the self-interiorisation of matter). In this process, the “human” becomes an agent of the noosphere and attains noospheric expression in two phases:
I. HOMINISATION AND II. SUPERHOMINISATION
“Humanity represents the planetary biological layer of the Earth!” — P. Teilhard de Chardin
“The noosphere is a new evolutionary state of the biosphere.” — V. I. Vernadsky
PRIMORDIAL, SELF-EXISTING, LUMINOUS DIVINE SOURCE
The goal towards which all matter evolves: from complexification to stellar condensation, to planetary deposition, to vitalisation, to hominisation, to noospheric universal realisation.
The post-noosphere horizon: the convergence towards which matter gravitates — the maximum interiorisation of consciousness into matter.
The horizon of self-illuminated total transcendence.

INCREASING DIVERGENCE OF THE UNCONSCIOUS NOOSPHERE
In the cosmic evolution of mind, the following is assumed. As the universe, understood as the evolution of matter, tends towards irreversible complexification, it establishes distinct horizons: a) The crystallisation of matter into autonomous, self-existing structures of form. b) The vitalisation of matter: the attainment of autotrophic and heterotrophic self-generation — the biospheric unity of life and emerging consciousness. c) The hominisation of matter: the psychic reflection of matter spreads in different streams — noospheric divergence — the consciousness of individuation. d) The superhominisation of matter: the conscious manifestation of the NOOSPHERE — psychic compression and totalisation — the interiorisation of matter — the planetisation of consciousness — cosmic civilisation.
PRIMORDIAL, SELF-EXISTING, LUMINOUS DIVINE SOURCE. The sacred source of divine intelligence, from which continuous impulses emanate, taking concrete form as plasma flows of potential materiality.

“Human” = the psychic reflection of matter. The stage in the evolution of matter at which the planetary evolution of consciousness is totalised as the noosphere.
“Let us imagine a wave arising at the South Pole, within the solid part of our globe, and moving towards the North Pole. Throughout its course, the wave advances through a curved medium that therefore converges at a single point. During the first half of its journey (that is, as far as the Equator), it simultaneously spreads outwards; after that point, however, it begins to contract. Thus, tracing the historical development of the noosphere, we may reasonably say that it appears to follow such a rhythm.” — Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Man’s Place in Nature (1956).
