THE PRESENT CENTURY AND THE FUTURE

So we saw the place that the tiny sensing unit used by the individual human being occupies in relation to the Great Whole. We have noted the different forms that astral evolution takes. We also looked at some of the sources from which astral energy comes. We have found that each of us is immersed in a sea of sentient forces that affect us because, by law, we have appropriated for our own use a portion of that universal energy by which we are connected to the Whole. One of the kinds of astral energy that we have not touched emanates, as we have come to know, from the Heart of the Sun. I cannot, however, consider it in detail because of the inability of the human brain to understand this type of astral energy, and of the human heart to assimilate it until the heart center is opened and functioning. This flow of life-giving energy can, however, be strongly felt, although not yet absorbed in its pure form. We call it the love of God. It is really that freely flowing, flowing, magnetically attractive force that leads every wanderer home to the Father’s House. This is the force that excites the heart of mankind and finds its expression through the world avatars, in the mystical longing inherent in every human being, in all movements aimed at the well-being of mankind, in any kind of philanthropic and educational endeavors, as well as (in the so-called world of nature) in the protective instinct of motherhood. But this is, in essence, a group sensitivity, and only in the coming Aquarian Age will its true nature find its correct understanding and correct application. I am speaking of it here, as it is 322] one of the factors to be considered. But only those whose hearts are open and lifted up to the Lord know what I am talking about.

There is no need to touch on what the race will have in the distant future. Urgent problems require attention - personal or racial problems, all problems related to the control of the astral guide. There is a favorable opportunity to demonstrate in the existing chaos of the potentiality of the Ego, or soul, its ability to control and dominate in its small sphere of influence. This is the special strain of the coming days for all those who are striving for the present time, and I would like, in order to help you navigate, to give some advice that you can follow or not, as you see fit.

Remember that each aspirant is a focus of energy, and in his place he must be a conscious focus. In the midst of a storm and whirlwind, he must make his presence tangible. The Law of Action and Counteraction works here, and often the Great Ones (anticipating the need for precisely such points of inner contact during periods of world unrest, such as the present one) gather in certain localities those who seek to serve, so that they promote balance and promote a common Plan, while at the same time learning many necessary lessons themselves.

The effort of the aspirants must not consist in resisting and repelling pressure, nor in fighting and defending oneself. This method focuses attention on the “not-self”, increasing chaos. The effort must consist in seeking to make contact with the higher self, keeping it stable and stable, and in staying in such a leveled state that the power and power of the soul can be poured out on the lower trinity nature and through it. This outpouring will result in a level radiation that will affect the environment in exact accordance with the measure of internal contact and in direct dependence of 323] on the purity of the channel between the physical brain and the causal body. Those who seek should also cultivate such self-forgetfulness as is expressed in concern for the welfare of all with whom they are

contact. Self-forgetfulness refers to the lower self. The ability to concentrate within yourself and self-forgetfulness should go hand in hand.

A person who has set himself the goal of becoming a point of contact between chaos and those who work for constructive goals and order should also use common sense in everything he does. This always implies following the Law of the Economy of Power through discernment and a true sense of values. Where they are, time is saved, power is wisely expended, energy is wisely distributed, excessive zeal is not allowed, and the Great Ones can rely on the prudence of the aspirant, finding in him a helper.

Any occult preparation means such a development of the aspirant that he can truly become the focus of spiritual energy. It must be remembered, however, that, according to the Law, such preparation is cyclical, has its own ebbs and flows, like everything in nature. The time of activity follows the time of pralaya, and the period of recorded contact is replaced by a period of apparent silence. Pay attention to the selection of words. Alteration is explained by the Law of Periodicity, and if the student develops at the right speed, each period of pralaya is replaced by a period of even greater activity, even greater achievement. Rhythm, ebb and flow, the dimensional beat of pulsating life have always been the Law of the Universe, and learning to respond to the vibration of high places, you should always remember about rhythmic periodicity. The same Law governs the human being, the planet, the solar system: they are all centers, or foci, of the energies of any greater Life. If you are going to succeed in your work (namely, in developing the ability to catch certain streams from mental levels - streams emanating from the higher self, from your egoic 324] group or from the Master), you should provide certain planned conditions. Certain factors must be ensured. If there are none, the streams are deflected (if I may put it that way), and contact is not obtained. If you need to deal with mundane, earthly affairs, and such periods occur in each life cycle, attention should be focused on these details, and the highest contact can be postponed for a while. Attention to the affairs of the physical plane is not necessarily a waste of time, as it may be as much a part of the Plan at a given time as any other kind of service. The full expression of oneself and the revelation of consciousness on each plane is the goal; remember that each plane, with its different states of consciousness, is equally a part of the divine Life. What most aspirants lack so far is synthetic consciousness and the ability to maintain and record integrity.

If there is emotional or mental chaos, the flows are also deflected and the brain does not register what can be internally seen and heard. If there is fatigue and the physical body needs rest, internal impressions also can not be registered. It is the centers of the etheric conductor that are animated and activated upon reaching contact and energy transfer; therefore, if the vitality is lowered and the pranic fluids are not assimilated, all vibrational contact is reduced and the center fails to register the vibration and respond. When stimulation is again sufficient and all the conditions are met to achieve the necessary calmness, flows can again be perceived, a response appears and a new cycle of susceptibility follows. I am going to explain it because I foresee a lot of questions and I am interested in this process for you to clear up. It is necessary that all who work 325] have a clear idea of this work and are fully aware of each step taken in those directions that so strongly affect their ability to serve.

With regard to the issues that concern all of you living in this time of world unrest and change, I would like to encourage you. Although the situation may seem to you

storm and horizon - darkened by the impending storm, remember that if the unrest and changes are universal, as they are now, and the whole world is involved in them, then the outcome is close. In nature, a strong thunderstorm, electric discharges contribute to the purification of the atmosphere and accelerate the onset of sunshine and more fertile living conditions. We have survived the electric shocks of the world war, and we have also experienced a period of gradual scattering of clouds with thunder and sudden, sharp gusts of wind and rain, killing the hope of those who crave sunshine. Those who patiently continue to work, who maintain inner calm and confidence, who have lost interest in the facade of the personality, remembering only the formless forces that work in all forms and at all times, will see order instead of chaos, construction instead of previous destruction and the current settlement; they will see the release of fresh life forces, still locked in crystallized shells erected by man. So, stick steadfastly to your inner vision and have that long-suffering that helps you to endure in a smaller cycle if you hold firmly the key to a larger cycle.

It will be useful if we briefly discuss some of the main lines of thinking that have emerged at the present time and are a product of the past and a hope for the future.

Human thought has always been religious. There has never been a period when there was no religion or thought in man about God, about the infinite or about Life, which caused everything to 326] being. Even the most ignorant savages recognized the existence of a Power and tried to express their attitude to that Power in terms of fear, sacrifice, or propitiation. Starting with the worship of nature, fetishism and primitive idolatry of primitive man, mankind has built a structure of truth, which, although imperfect and inadequate, already lays the foundation of the future Temple of Truth, in which the light of the Lord will be seen and which will be a worthy expression of Reality.

From the darkness of time arose great religions. Although these religions are different in their theology and forms of worship, although with obvious differences in organization and ceremony, although they differ in the methods of applying truth, they are united by three basic aspects:

1. Doctrine of the Nature of God and Man. 2. Symbolism. 3. Some basic doctrines.

When people recognize this and learn to distinguish that inner essential structure of truth which is the same for all countries and all races, then there will be a universal religion, a One Church, and that general, though not uniform, attitude towards God, which will demonstrate the truth of the words of St. Paul. Paul said, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all of us.” Theologies will disappear in the knowledge of God; doctrines and dogmas will cease to be considered necessary, since faith will be based on experience and authority will give way to a personal evaluation of Reality. The power of the church over the group will be supplanted by the power of the awakened soul in man; an age of wonder and debate as to how and why, 327] with subsequent skepticism and agnosticism will replace the understanding of the laws of nature that control the superhuman sphere and the supernatural stage of the evolutionary process. Man will enter into his divine inheritance and learn that he is the Son of the Father with all divine qualities, powers and abilities, for they are all his divine gift. What do we have yet? Break with the old established tradition, rebellion against authority, authority of the church, dogma, doctrine or theology; tendency to self-determination and discard old norms, barriers of thinking and differences existing between races and religions.

We are thus going through an intermediate stage of chaos and doubt, of rebellion and the resulting apparent licentiousness. Scientific methods such as

Research and analysis, comparison and deduction, apply to religious beliefs. The history of religions, the foundations of doctrines, the origin of ideas, and the development of God’s idea are all subject to investigation and study. This leads to numerous discussions, to the rejection of the old established ideas about God, the soul, man and his fate. Schools of thought, differing in their ideas and methods, have always existed, and the six schools of Indian philosophy have embodied almost all the basic ideas of man regarding the causes of manifestation. Few new ideas have been added by the West to these six speculative schools, although the Western mind, with its genius for scientific technique and technique, has refined these ideas and broken down the six theories into many smaller propositions. Out of a mixture of ideas, theories, speculations, religions, churches, cults, sects, and organizations, two main lines of thought emerge: one that will eventually die, and the other that will evolve and grow, and which, in its 328] turn, will give birth to that ultimate (for us) expression of truth that will satisfy over the next century and lead man to the top of the Temple and the Mount of Initiation. These two areas are represented by the following groups:

1. Those who turn back to the past, who are committed to the old ways, to ancient theologies, and to reactionary methods of rejection in the search for truth. These are people who accept authority: the authority of the prophet, the Bible, or theology. These are those who prefer obedience to imposed authority, voluntary obedience to the enlightened soul. They are supporters of the church and government, distinguished by pure devotion and love, but refusing to recognize the divine intelligence with which they are gifted. Their devotion, their love for God, their demanding but self-defeating conscience, their intolerance make them completely devoted people who, however, are blinded by their own devotion and limit their own growth with their fanaticism. Most of them belong to the older generation, and the hope for them is their devotion and that evolution itself will lead them to the second group.

This first group does the work of crystallization, which will lead to the complete destruction of the old forms; its task is to concretize the old truths so that the mind of the race can be cleansed, so that it becomes obvious that it is essential and not essential that fundamental ideas are so contrasted with dogmas, that it becomes visible what is at the heart, and secondary, insignificant beliefs are rejected, since only the fundamental and causal will be valued in the coming age.

2. The second group is represented by a very small but steadily growing minority. It is that internally connected group of God-loving, intellectual mystics who know reality, who do not belong to any religion or organization, but who consider themselves members of a universal, one Church and "members of each other." They are 329 in every nation, race, and people; they have different skins and different schools of thought, yet they speak the same language, learn by the same symbols, pave the same path, reject the same unimportant things, and single out the same essence from existing beliefs. They recognize each other; they express equal devotion to spiritual leaders of all races and are equally free to use each other’s scriptures. They form the subjective basis of the new world; they form the spiritual core of the coming world religion; they demonstrate the principle of brotherhood that will ultimately save the world.

In the past, we were the world’s Saviors, the Sons of God, who proclaimed the world’s message and brought light to the nations. Now that the hour has passed and thanks to the work of evolution, a group is emerging that is to bring salvation to the world and which, by embodying group ideas and demonstrating group nature, manifesting on a small scale the true meaning of the body of Christ and showing the world the picture of the future.

The true nature of the spiritual organism so stimulates and energizes the thoughts and souls of people that the New Age will begin with the outpouring of love, knowledge and harmony of God Himself.

The religions of the past were founded by great souls, Avatars, outstanding spiritual personalities, and the example of their lives, words, and teachings impressed the race and continued to be felt for centuries. What will the message of the group Avatar do? What will be the power of the work of a group of God-knowing, truth-telling, and subjectively united for the great work of saving the world? What will be the effectiveness of the mission of a group of world Saviors, not like Christ, but all who in some way know God, complement each other's work, reinforce each other's messages and form an organism, through 330] which spiritual energy and the principle of spiritual life can make tangible their presence in the world?

Representatives of this group now exist in every country. These people are relatively few, they are rare, but their number is steadily increasing, and their message will be more tangible. They embody a constructive spirit; they are the builders of the New Age; they are entrusted with the work of preserving the spirit of truth and reorganizing the thinking of men, so that the race may learn to control the mind and maintain it in such a meditative state that it may recognize the coming revelation of divinity.

Both these groups, the reactionary doctrinaires and the subjective community of mystics, are in contact with a large part of the new generation of young people who are not members of any group and whose ideas are extremely upsetting because they listen to both. This majority does not belong to the past and refuses to recognize the authority of this past. Nor does it apply to the inner group of Knowledge-givers whose job it is to direct people’s thoughts in the right direction, since most people have not yet reached the necessary point of knowledge. They are aware of only two points: the need for freedom and a strong craving for knowledge. They despise the tradition of the past and reject the old formulations of truth, and since they are not yet on solid ground, but are still only seekers and questioners, we have the present state of world confusion, apparent debauchery and destruction. It should not be forgotten that this state of the world is the result of the clash of three types of forces that dominate the world today:

1. The forces emanating from the adherents of the old tradition, which, giving special

331] 2. The forces emanating from an inner group of mystics, which under the direction of

The planetary Hierarchy is building a new form.

3. The forces emanating from the masses, who do not belong to any group, and who use this force as yet blindly and often unwisely, will be so until they see those constructive channels through which this force can be wisely directed.

This is the problem of the current transition period and hence the need to spread the teachings that will help the seeker aspirant and seeker to find himself. Hence the need to explain the laws of the soul and the truth about individual revelation to those who, rejecting the old tradition and refusing to recognize mysticism, still strive to know themselves as a liberated soul. This knowledge will cause a steady increase in the number of Mystics-Builders, because when a person has found his soul and recognizes its connection with the mechanism of expression - the trinity of the lower man - he automatically passes into the consciousness of subjective life, begins to work with the cause and is no longer lost in the world of consequences. Then he becomes shoulder to shoulder with the mystics and the knowers of all times. Such is the direction of the religious impulse in our time, and such is the glory of the coming age.

If it is true that behind the facade of our present world there is a group of mystics who have the knowledge, vision and ability to work on mental levels that are not visible and not recognized by people, then we can note that this group does not have the same character.

Only religious people. Men and women from all areas of human thought are part of this group, including scientists and philosophers.

Like everything else in our time, science itself is undergoing transformation. However little many scientists realise it, their work with what they call matter and 332] their investigations of the atom are entering a new phase. In this phase, the old methods and mechanisms will gradually be discarded, and a new approach and a different fundamental conception of the nature of matter will mark the New Age. During the next twenty-five years, recognition of certain energy impulses will emerge from two apparently different conceptions of the atom’s nature. Its basis will be the discovery of energies that, acting on atoms and atomic forms, produce the tangible, concrete forms we name in the various kingdoms of nature. The truth of certain basic premises of the Ageless Wisdom will be demonstrated, namely that:

1. The soul is a formative principle that causes attraction and coherence. 2. The soul is an aspect, or type of energy, different from the type itself.

matter.

3. The atom is recognized as an energy unit, but the energy connecting atoms together, which we call organisms and forms, has not yet been released. The mystics of the scientific world will feel it and will work to demonstrate it for the next generation. It is this type of energy - the energy of the form-building aspect of manifestation - that is the source of all magical work; it is this energy in the various kingdoms of nature that creates the forms, images, types, types and differences that characterize and distinguish the myriad forms through which life itself manifests itself. It is the quality of this energy that gives rise to all forms, it is light that brings to the consciousness of the race those heterogeneous images that can take on aggregates of atoms.

4. This type of energy, which creates images, forms and connected organisms in all the kingdoms of nature, is not a vital 333 principle. The life principle will remain undiscovered and unrecognised until the soul, or the quality-determining principle, the builder of forms, is studied, recognized, and, in turn, investigated.

5. This becomes possible only when one enters into full conscious possession of one's divine heritage and, working as a soul and controlling one's mechanism (physical, emotional, mental), can work consciously in contact with the soul in all forms.

This will be possible only when the race accepts this hypothesis, recognizes it as probable, and tries to demonstrate the presence of the soul hidden behind the structure or body of manifestation, or, equally, tries to refute it. All the great scientists and workers in the field of objective nature worked as souls, and all the most amazing discoveries in the field of physics and chemistry, as well as in other branches of human knowledge, were made when a person working in a particular field began to act, believing in his hypothesis, conducted research and progressed, stage by stage, in his work, until he came into contact with an aspect of truth not yet formulated by man. Then, having entered a new sphere of thought by intuition, he formulated the knowledge discovered there in the form of a theory, a principle, an experiment or a mechanical device, so that it became the property of the group and in due time was accepted and used by the world. But at its inception, it was a mystical work and it was based on mystical intuition.

Three great discoveries are coming in the near future that will revolutionize modern thinking and life over the next two generations.

One possibility has already been identified and is being investigated experimentally: the release of atomic energy. It will completely change the world’s economic and political situation, since the latter depends heavily on the former. Our mechanical civilisation will become simpler, and an era will dawn free from the 334] burden of money, whether one possesses it or does not. Everywhere, the human family will recognise its status as the connecting kingdom between the three lower kingdoms of nature and the fifth, or spiritual, kingdom. There will be time and freedom for culture

The soul, which will replace our modern methods of education, and the disclosure of the soul’s abilities and the development of superhuman consciousness everywhere will command the attention of teachers and students.

The second discovery will be made as a result of current research in light and color. The effects of color on people, animals, and units of the vegetable kingdom will be studied and the result will be the development of etheric vision, or the ability to see the next level of matter with physical eyes. More and more people will think and express themselves in terms of light, and the effect of further development in this area of human thinking will be triple: a) people will have etheric vision; b) the vital or etheric body, which is the internal structure of external forms, will be seen, paid attention to and studied in all kingdoms of nature;

c) it will break all barriers of race and all distinctions of colour; the essential brotherhood of mankind will be proved. We will see each other and all forms of divine manifestation as light units of varying degrees of brightness, and we will increasingly express and think in terms of electricity, electric tension, intensity, and energy. The age and status of man on the ladder of evolution will be determined and objectively evident; differences in the capabilities of old and young souls will be recognized and thus the rule of the enlightened will be restored on earth.

Note here that these discoveries will be the result of the work of 335] scientists of the next two generations, the result of their efforts. Their work with the atom of substance, their investigations in the fields of electricity, light, and energy, must inevitably demonstrate the connection between forms, which is synonymous with brotherhood, and the existence of soul, inner light, and the radiance of all forms.

The third discovery, which is likely to be the last, will be more relevant to the realm of what occultists call magic. It will result from the study of sound and its effects, and will give man the most powerful instrument in the world of creation. Through the use of sound, the scientist of the future will achieve the desired results; through sound, a new field of discovery will be revealed; the sound produced by each form in all the kingdoms of nature will be studied and known; through it changes will be made and new forms will appear. Only one hint I can give here: the release of the energy of the atom will be connected with this new coming science of sound.

The significance of what has happened in the world over the past century in the field of sound has not yet been appreciated and understood. However, the terrible consequences are caused by the incredibly increased noise and sounds currently emanating from the planet. The roar of cars, the thundering of transport machinery in all parts of the world — trains, steamships and airplanes, the concentration of human sounds in crowded places like big cities, and at the same time, the widespread use of radio, bringing musical sounds to every home and on the streets, affect the bodies of people and all forms of life everywhere, which will become apparent only in time. Some forms of life in the animal kingdom, and mainly in the vegetable kingdom, will disappear, and the response of the human 336 mechanism to the world of sound, noise, and music, into which it is increasingly immersed, will be extremely entertaining.

The development of these three branches of science will usher in a new age, bring about the necessary changes in the present transition period, and usher in a new era, the key note of which will be brotherhood, since it will become a proven fact of nature. It will be an age when man will walk in the light, for it will be a world of recognized inner radiance, when work in the world will be done through sound, and, in the end, through the use of words of power and the work of skillful magicians. These experienced workers with substance, who understand the nature of matter, who consider everything in the concepts of light and know the purpose of sound application, will bring such structural changes and material transformations that

will lead to the emergence of a civilization corresponding to the work of the coming race. This work will consist in the conscious union of the soul with its vehicle of expression. A culture will be born that will move the undeveloped members of the race to a better manifestation and a more true expression of themselves - the realization of this is the privilege of the future generation of scientific researchers.

However, an outstanding feature of the upcoming cycle will be the development of psychology. It is about the emergence of a new factor from the point of view of the modern psychologist of the materialistic school - the recognition of the existence of the soul.

The Mechanistic School of Psychologists has provided invaluable help, and the findings of behaviorists are essentially logical, although erroneous in their conclusions. They serve as a necessary brake on the development of a more speculative mystical school, which calls itself introspective. Like so much else in the world today, of the two great lines of thought such as 337As the mechanistic and introspective or subjective ones mentioned above, a third is formed, which will embody what is true in both approaches, and properly adapt them to each other. On a large scale, this will be accomplished in the union of the West and the East, mysticism and occultism. We have no disagreement with either, but in the evolution of thinking, the main directions of ideas in our time are rapidly approaching each other and a synthesis arises that will become a solid basis for the approaching cycle.

Here it is useful to note the trends of three main areas of thinking in the field of

Psychology.

1. Mechanical, focusing on the material structure, attributing the reactions of the human body emotional, physical) exclusively to the material aspect and considering the material structure giving rise to inherent human tendencies of behavior and traits, both abnormal and normal.

(mentally,

An introspective school that proclaims the existence of the “I,” or that conscious something, which is responsible for states and, as has sometimes been said, “conscious.” This school of psychologists recognizes the material structure, but goes further and considers some aspects of behavior, some reactions and problems as unexplained by means of a mechanistic approach only. It approaches the occult position, but does not go that far.

3. There are still those who can be called vitalists, or a group of psychologists who, recognizing the material structure, still consider it to be subject to the influence of energies and forces emanating from the external environment. These energies are characterized by a more universal nature than those that arise exclusively within one's own human self, and these include great fundamental aspirations, for which nature itself is responsible and which can be seen and felt not only in human units of organic life. 338] Each of these three schools holds a certain aspect of truth, and these aspects complement each other.

There is a mechanism by which the real man functions, and there is a material structure which he has constructed in accordance with the laws of nature and which he can learn to use and control. However, according to the more subjective speculative school, he must learn to distinguish between himself as a conscious center of awareness, the “I” on the throne of the mind, and the apparatus through which he contacts the outside world. When the self, using the mechanism, is able to do this, it realizes another fact, namely, that it is not only it itself that produces and uses energy and directs its own share of vitality, but that there are energies and forces in nature, on the planet, as well as extra-planetary, or cosmic, to which it is also able to respond and which it can learn to use and adapt. Thus, the three current schools are incipient guardians of these three factors. In the present conditions of discord and division, these three schools are occupied mainly with refuting each other's theories, but they are all accurate in the facts, although they are incorrect in their conclusions. Everyone needs each other, and from

The combination of these three approaches will result in a fourth that will be closer to the truth than any of the three.

If we consider other basic directions in the world of modern thought, it will become obvious that one of the most dominant is the increasing emphasis on group consciousness, or awareness of one’s surroundings. The ordinary, average person knows it as a sense of responsibility, which indicates the appearance of egoic vibration in the individual. This is one of the first signs that the soul is beginning to use its mechanism. People no longer have interests 339It is only his own separate self that begins to realize the need to respond to the needs of his neighbor. He recognizes his duty to be in the most real sense the guardian of his fellow man, and realizes that, in reality, progress, contentment, the working of the mind, and prosperity do not exist for him apart from those around him. This understanding is steadily extended from the individual to the state and the nation, from the family unit to the world; therefore, there are those great organizations, brotherhoods, clubs, leagues and movements that aim at the universal improvement of the well-being of people. The need to give, rather than take, is embedded in racial consciousness, and the acceptance of some fraternity-related basic concepts is steadily increasing. Brotherhood as a fact of nature is still a theory, but brotherhood as an ideal is now being formed in the racial consciousness.

One of the main schools of thought, or one of the main directions of ideas that is destined to disappear, is the current generally accepted schools of philosophy known to us. Philosophical schools have yet to make their last significant impact. Then, in the following centuries, those schools will take their place that will deeply and truly develop cosmology, for once the Word of Humanity is understood and comprehended and the meaning of the individual is appreciated, the Word of Cosmos will receive due, deeper attention, and the laws and nature of that Great Being by whom we live and move and exist will be studied. The Cosmic Christ cannot be known by anyone but the individual Christ.

Man, as we shall see, stands on the threshold of obtaining proofs of his divinity. Evolution has improved 340] its mechanism to such an extent that it is now a coordinated, integrated organism, a useful structure prepared for the divine user. In the course of the next few decades the existence of the soul will be proved, and the work of introspective thinkers, mystics, and students of occultism will advance so much that the power of the soul will be recognized as a racial concept, and the laws of the soul will be recognized as changing, though not abolishing (as the greater always includes the lesser) laws of man. It is meant that the law is always observed by the manifested soul, because if the soul is not inclined to violate the law, then the person has no tendency to violate it.

Evidence of the growing belief that the soul is the self is a powerful opposition to the theory put forward by those schools of thought that emphasize the primacy of matter and explain all phenomena, both objective and subjective, by the activity of matter. Through the struggle with those who hold different views, truth comes into being, just as, in a broader sense, the spirit “takes on the shoulders of matter” back to its original place, plus the improvement of quality as a result of acquired experience. In this case, knowledge will take the place of theory, and direct evidence will take the place of speculation. The theorizing of men about their divine nature must soon give way to persuasion, and their philosophizing to direct investigation of the soul. What is recognized and allowed,

Even if not yet understood, is the object of attention and research, and in the near future there will come a day when the experimental science of the soul will take its place in universities and in the public consciousness, and not the evidence of the existence of the soul, but the analysis of its nature, goals and life will attract as much attention as scientists are now paying in various fields to the mechanism that the soul seeks and, in the end, will be 341] use, since nothing is able to stop the great evolutionary development.

Another cause of discouragement is the excessive development of a particular mind, which in turn places too high a demand on the emotional nature, and, further, on the physical. Too developed ability to comprehensively survey the subject, too inadequate understanding of the world’s need, too fast comprehension of many conclusions in connection with a particular case cause a powerful vibration of the astral body. This leads to the loosening of the physical conductor, and the felt result we call despondency. It is here that it is desirable to cultivate a sense of proportion, to develop the ability of wise settlement and to achieve mental balance. Healing consists in the realization that time, eternity, evolution (call it what you will) realizes the Plan and that everything does not depend on individual effort. Wise souls can speed up the good work, but still the result is predetermined. If the wise souls are not involved, the power of evolution will carry it all out, albeit more slowly. Don’t worry about it, and if you are attacked by despondency from mental sources, calm down,

The third reason is more occult.

This is due to the balancing of pairs of opposites. When the pendulum is deflected - what it should and does - to what we call darkness, evil, undesirable, it causes in those of you who are oriented towards light, tension, which is expressed in 343] discomfort in all bodies and is especially strongly felt by the physical body as depression. The more sensitive your body is, the greater your response to this kind of temptation. This is one of those moments that especially interferes with the aspirant. This makes it negative and receptive to the formal side, which lowers its vibration. This hinders his advancement, and as a result his service to the world suffers. To get rid of discouragement, you do not need to cultivate a strong opposite vibration, but you need to use the mental body wisely, and, logically, find the cause of such conditions, the roots of which are either in your own personality or in your environment. This is how balance is achieved. The remedy for despondency is also the recognition of Time as a universal healer. The means is also the calming of the concrete mind, its subsequent connection with the soul, through the soul, with the ego group, and then with the Master. These five trends, combined with clean living and regulation of thinking, will lead to success. Remember, too, that the goal is not to learn all that can be learned, but to learn only what can be wisely applied to enlighten the race and those who can be influenced by each of you in your own place.

The real problem, as you know, is to achieve absolute fearlessness. Any fear, doubt and worry will have to be eradicated. If you are able to do so, developing an internal point of contact and knowing how to break through to sources of inspiration will increase with surprising rapidity. Too uncontrollable sources of information many overlap emotional nature. The astral body can be controlled. What?

1. A direct ban. This method can be successfully used by beginners, however, it is not the best. It affects the physical body, leads to blockage of the astral body and to the same state of the etheric conductor. It often causes headache, blockage of the bile ducts and other ailments.

This applies to fears related to personality. You engage the aspect of love by filling yourself with love and light. The well-founded fears associated with the circumstances of the forthcoming work 346] and the awareness of the material obstacles to it must be eradicated somewhat differently. Here use the following method:

Calm the physical body. Calm the astral body with a temporary ban. Connect with the ego and think about the best way to solve the problem. Having exhausted all the higher rational methods and clearly seeing the course of your actions, then - increase your vibrations as much as possible and call from intuitive levels additional light on the problem. If your intuition and reasoning lead to harmony and, thereby, indicate the way out, then continue. As an occult fact out of the question, you know that nothing can happen now that does not lead to a better outcome. You are sure that you are being led, and the one who is able to see the end from the very beginning does not make mistakes.

The third kind of fear, which the aspirants face more and more as they increase in strength and usefulness in service, is based on the awareness of the forces working against the Plan and hindering the execution of the work ahead. Occult attacks take place, and occult forces are viciously arrayed against the aspirant; they may make themselves known in one or another of the vehicles, and in rare cases, if the aspirant is significant enough, in all at once. Sometimes such attacks are directed against an individual worker, sometimes against groups of workers. To resist them, apply the first method with the following additions and changes. Unite, either as an individual or by presenting yourself in one group with your own 347] soul and with the Lodge of Teachers, not only with your Master, but with the whole Brotherhood for which you work. Then, when you have attained calmness, visualize those Masters of which you are aware, and by raising your vibration even higher, connect as far as possible with Chohans, Christ, and Manu,

in accordance with the direction - religious or political - in which you work and in which the attack followed. Then through this connecting chain and through all the conductors pass the flow of violet light. This method should only be used when absolutely necessary. The reason for caution lies in the etheric conductor, which reacts extremely strongly to the purple color.

Keeping these precautions in mind, you can safely meet the vibration of fear and eventually eliminate it. An employee’s fears are divided into two types: first, fear of what the future will bring, and second, doubt about the effectiveness of his efforts. Most people have both types at once. Most aspirants have no fundamental doubt as to the final result, but they sometimes doubt the current results and stray from the path of aspiration, knowing — and rightly knowing — that it leads through trial and solitude to the Footsteps of Hierophantus. No less they are tormented by anxiety and high vibrations, which, apparently, come from high spiritual sources. Strong vibrations come with increasing frequency, and as the race evolves, the vibrations will intensify, so reactions to them will have to be wisely adapted.

When the spiritual vibration becomes extremely powerful, two things are revealed. There may be an increase in crime, but there will be an increase in the number of groups that cultivate 348] spiritual growth and high aspirations. The result of increasing the vibration in you, the aspiring, can also manifest in different ways. It can be expressed in bodily fatigue, and it will have to be dealt with not so much through sleep and rest, although they are needed in the right proportion, as by vibrational change, entertainment, and fun. Secondly, it is often expressed in deep depression, in severe heart depression, when you look into the future. Be that as it may, look into this future, remembering that what the future brings is not yet revealed to us, but that "in the evening we cry, and in the morning we rejoice"*. It is also expressed in increasing the sensitivity of the astral body, which may be even more difficult to endure. The individual will have to cope with it as much as he can, bearing in mind the recommendations I have given. It is also expressed in the constant stimulation of atoms of various conductors and their combined stable vibration, which gradually approaches the goal, although the aspirant may not be aware of this.

Everything depends on the student’s ability to grasp the inner meaning of events. All progress on the Path depends on the willingness to make the teaching one’s own. Only when we transmute the lessons of the inner planes into practical knowledge will they become part of our own experience and cease to be purely theoretical. The expansion of consciousness must become an ever-growing practical experience. Theories are useless until we put them into practice. Hence the value of meditation on the ideal. During meditation, our thoughts vibrate in unison with the idea under consideration, and in time that vibration becomes constant.

Those who consciously, fully aware of the beginning of occult training, will have to be ready to pay the right price. The reward at the end is great, but the way is steep and the real occultist goes it alone. The ability to stand alone, 349] to take responsibility, to complete everything without assistance and challenge evil in the name of achieving good - this is the sign of the White Brother. Then be prepared for loneliness, for vague, hidden dangers, be prepared for the fact that life will pass without any reward for the individual. Only when the consciousness expands and the true position of man in the cosmic Whole is revealed will the reward become apparent; so stop being afraid and know that the personality is temporary, and that

Those of us who observe and guide on the inner side of life know your problems better than perhaps you, who are enduring the burden and intensity of existence on your physical failure, and someday we will be able to help you build strong bodies for world service. Now the astral miasms are such that you, our struggling brothers, are practically 350It is impossible to have good health; world karma does not allow this. Astral deterioration and the hideous scum of the lower levels of the mental plane infect almost everyone, and happy is the one who has escaped them. We watch with tenderness and care all of you who struggle with weak and sensitive bodies, work, fight, fail and continue to serve. Not one hour of service, spent in pain and tension, not one day of work, after which the torn nerves, tired head and a sick heart remained, will not pass unnoticed. We all know and understand, but we are not able to do anything that only you who are fighting on the field of peace can do. In our age, the pressure of world karma is felt by each of you. If you only realized that time does not wait, and rest, joy and peace are on the way!

The victory partially won, the days lived with at least a certain degree of success in striving for the not yet achieved ideal, the moment of the devastation of the soul and body, when the only thing you feel is the futility of everything, even the service itself, weeks and months of effort and struggle, against seemingly insurmountable circumstances, against the colossal power of the forces of involution, against the roaring streams of world ignorance, you need to know everything. Be inspired by the belief that Love rules everything; be courageous, aware that Hierarchy is on guard.

Those who try to communicate more about the Masters, who are trained to be the focal points of contact, go through a very rigorous discipline. They are experienced in every possible way and they learn a lot through bitter experience. They are taught not to attach importance to recognition. They are trained to judge not by appearance, but by internal vision. The ability to recognize the Master’s purpose and the ability to love are paramount. Those who seek to be chosen to work as apprentices must lose all desire to gain something for their separate self, must be willing to pay the price of knowledge at any 351. The proof of the existence of the world of subjective reality is paid for by the blood of the heart, since only “in the blood of the heart” can power be safely found and wisely applied. As you advance and as you struggle to learn the hidden laws of nature, you are aware of the need to pay the price. The spiritual revelation of the character of the student must go hand in hand with his inner knowledge. This knowledge increases in three ways:

1. Through specific extensions of consciousness, through which the student is revealed an understanding of what is to be achieved. This creates in his mind an idea of what he has to comprehend and what is the first step to what he is looking for. On the inner planes, a more advanced chela leads the aspirant and shows him what needs to be done, just as a mentor shows the student what lesson needs to be learned.

2. The next step is to master the lesson and work through the truths that have been felt, in meditation and through experiment. This is a lengthy process, for everything must be assimilated and become an integral part of the disciple's own Self before further progress is possible. It is like working out a sum: digit by digit, line by line, the work continues until the answer is reached. The work proceeds both on the inner planes and on the physical plane. In the Hall of Learning, the disciple studies at night for short periods before continuing the work of service. This teaching is brought into the consciousness of the physical brain as a deep interest in particular subjects and an increased ability to think concretely and abstractly about the various occult matters occupying the disciple's attention. The disciple experiments, tries different methods of studying the laws and, over time, achieves personally valuable results. As time passes and more is assimilated and learned, this knowledge becomes 352] synthetic, and the disciple is ready to teach and communicate to others what is already known with certainty.

3. In teaching others comes further knowledge. The determination of truth in the process of learning others crystallizes the learned facts, and when exposed to other minds, the aspirant's own vibration becomes consonant with ever higher planes, and thus he receives a fresh influx of intuition and achieves an ever deeper understanding of truth.

When one lesson is learned in this way, the next begins, and when the student learns a certain number of lessons, he becomes a graduate and passes through initiation. The whole group he teaches is greatly benefited by his step forward, because each student in an amazing, indefinable way attracts those whom he instructs. Achieving unity benefits the whole. The teacher leads his students forward and upward in a similar way. This subject is complex and relates more to the mysteries of the Law of Vibrational Development. The dedication of the Logos has a universal impact.

You are correct in your assumption that the Test Path corresponds to the last stages of the pregnancy period. At the First Initiation, the one who is called in the New Testament “the child in Christ” begins his journey along the way. The first initiation simply means the beginning. A certain measure of right living, thinking, and behaving has been achieved; the form to be taken by Christ has been created, and now this form must be revived and inhabited. Christ’s life enters and the form comes to life. This is the difference between a theory and turning that theory into a part of yourself. You can have a great picture or image, but it lacks life. There is a person who, as far as he is able, modeled his life in the divine image. He has a good copy, but something is missing. What's that? Manifestations of the Inner Christ. He was a baby, but he remained latent. Now he is born and born, and the First Initiation has been attained. Much remains to be done. A slight hint, indicating a gesture, a brief advice - that is all that He has time for, and every student should be on guard. The pressure on the Masters now as they approach the physical plane is enormous. Now they feel more souls than when they worked only on mental levels; They, too, by working on tighter plans, find conditions more difficult. Devas and disciples, aspiring and those who are on the path of testing, now gather around Them and organize themselves into groups for special work. A brotherhood that made a vow to serve humanity.

Movements are initiated aimed at transforming, as far as possible, the work of destruction into constructive work. The time is critical, as the work of the destroyers has come to a pause. There was an opportunity to change the course of events and rebuild the social body.

That is why each of you needs to devote yourself to the work of redemption with new strength. Individuals must be subordinated. Those who strive must live without harming either by thought, word or deed. In this way each of you will provide a pure channel, become an outpost of the Master’s consciousness, and form an energy center through which the Brotherhood can work.

The first task of the aspirant is to curb the emotional 355] nature. Then he becomes the winner in the field of Kurukshetra; the clouds diverge, and then he can go in the light. Remember that being able to walk in the light brings with it its own problems. You may ask, how can it be? I will give you one simple but (I think you will agree with this) convincing argument.

When a person truly walks in the light of the soul, and clear sunlight pours through, revealing the Path, it also reveals the Plan. At the same time, however, the person realises that the Plan is still far from completion. The darkness becomes more apparent; the chaos, suffering and inadequacy of the world’s groups are exposed; the baseness and foulness of opposing forces become visible, and all the world’s sorrow descends on the shaken yet enlightened aspirant. Can the aspirant withstand this pressure? Can the aspirant see sorrow and yet always rejoice in divine consciousness? Can the aspirant look at what the light reveals and still continue calmly along the path, confident in the ultimate triumph of good? Will the aspirant be shaken by the evil manifested on Earth and

Will he forget the heart of Love that beats behind everything outside? The student should always remember this, otherwise he will be amazed at what he has discovered.

However, with the advent of light, he is aware of a new (for himself) form of energy. He is learning to work in a new field of opportunity. He opens up a realm of the mind, and he finds that he knows how to distinguish between the emotional nature and the mental. He also finds that the mind can be made to be the controller, and that the senses respond submissively to mental energies. This is provided by the "light of the mind" - a light always present in man, but gaining meaning and power only when it is seen and known either phenomenally or intuitively. 356] Many false teachings about the mind and soul circulate today. The teaching of one of these schools, the name of which should not be called, can be summarized as follows:

Nature is cruel and selective. It is guided by the Law of Survival of the fittest; in the process of selection, millions of lives are sacrificed, and many forms of birth lead to nothing. Hence the rarity of attaining the life of the soul. Only a few people have a soul and therefore few have immortality and reach their own power to never return. The rest are lost, drowned and absorbed in the general process of nature, and the human kingdom as a whole is lost, except for a few outstanding figures that have appeared in the past and present. They stand out because of the sacrifice of many.

However, the response of the people themselves to this teaching is a worthy response. The feeling of immortality, the confidence in the eternal future, the innate faith in God, the revelation of light, the acquisition of wisdom that helps and guides, are not the prerogative of Seneca alone, St. John the Baptist. Paul, Akbar, and the like. All this is present (sometimes in the purest form) in the most imperceptible peasant. The words of wise counsel come down from the tongue of the ignorant, and the knowledge of God and the belief in the immortality of the soul are revealed hidden in the hearts of those from whom this would be least expected, and often in the hearts of the most sinful people. However, when the highly developed and most intelligent members of the race discover within themselves the divine Flame and awaken the power of the supreme Controller residing in the heart of their being, they are excessively inclined to rank themselves in a higher category than the rest, and to regard those who do not adhere to their mental understanding of the differences of evolutionary development as so different from themselves that they do not deserve the title of 357] Sons of God. They consider everyone who does not work with mental energy, who does not have a soul and therefore does not have an eternal existence as individuals. It is merely an obsession of the mind, part of the great heresy of separateness, indirectly indicating a future period when the mind will become as dominant and misleading as the sentient body is now.

So let us examine the types of mental energy with which the individual has to work, and see how we can overcome this great heresy of isolation, the “negation error,” as it is sometimes called.

One of the first things we need to keep in mind when considering these types of energy is that their direction and work can be more easily understood in a broader sense with respect to all of humanity than their action in the individual use of mental energy. So far, only a few human beings are consciously using this type of force, and therefore only these few are able to understand what it really is. People as individuals are increasingly taking possession of their intellectual heritage, but when it comes to numbers, hardly one in ten thousand uses this innate power and skillfully functions in their mental body.

Nevertheless, if we look at humanity as a whole and look back at the past development of the race, we will see the most concrete workings of mental energy and

outstanding results of its application. The use of two factors distinguishes a person from an animal, regardless of whether he uses them consciously or unconsciously. Both are to some extent inherent in the animal, but man is the only entity in the three worlds that is able to consciously benefit from them. One factor is suffering, the other is the ability to distinguish. Through suffering and the subsequent process of analysis, correlation plus memory and visualization, a person has learned what to avoid and what to cultivate. This applies to physical events and sensory experiences. Through distinction in the sphere of ideas and among the streams of thoughts, a person has learned to decide on what to base his activities 358] in all human affairs, even though he has an incomplete understanding of the true nature of ideas and the embodiment of the truths he perceived is far from perfect. That he often chooses unwisely, that the ideas governing group behavior are not the highest, that public opinion is formed on the basis of personal and selfish interests, can only be too sad truth. Nevertheless, through suffering and learning to use the ability to choose in the field of ideas, a person is constantly striving for complete freedom and complete control over the land, which is his right to inherit. The "Ancient Comment" in symbolic language expresses with particular beauty what applies to both of these characteristics. Reading the following phrases, thinking over them, remember that water symbolizes sensitivity, or astral reaction, and fire is a symbol of mentality:

"The calming waters are cooling. They gradually bring relief, separating form from everything that can be touched. The feverish heat of long suppressed desire yields to the cooling flow. Water and suffering calm each other. Length of cooling process.

The fire will destroy all that is in the way of life. Happiness comes after fire, like fire after water. Water and fire combine to create a great illusion. They produce fog, veil, steam and noise, hiding the Light, hiding the Truth and covering the Sun.

The fire is fiercely burning. Suffering and water disappear. There is cold, heat,

The light of the day, the brightness of the rising sun and the perfect knowledge of the truth.

This is the way for all who seek the light. First the form with all its passions and desires. Then suffering. After that, calming waters and a small fire. The fire burns, and the heat burns inside the tiny sphere, doing its fiery work. Rawness, dense fog also become visible; distress is added to suffering, for those who use the fire of the mind at an early stage are lost in the illusory light.

The heat becomes unbearable; then the ability to suffer is lost. When this stage is passed, the unobstructed radiance of the Sun opens and the pure, bright light of the Truth. This is the way back to the hidden center. Use the suffering. Call on fire, O stranger, in a foreign, unknown land. Water washes away the dirt and mucus of natural growth. The lights burn the interfering forms that try to keep the wanderer — and so bring liberation. The living waters, like a river, carry the stranger to the Father's Heart. The lights destroy the veil that hides the Face of the Father.”

Probably one of the first instructions that each student must learn as he tries to understand the nature and mode of use of the mind is that the significance of public opinion should give way to his own individual consciousness of rightness and that only when such an attitude towards individual consciousness is established will it take its rightful place, becoming that living embryo that can bloom back into the divine flower of the Son of Mind, Manas, to that which can blossom into the divine flower of the Son of Mind, of Manput.

This consciousness, this thread, if followed, will lead the individual to the deliberative chamber, where the Plan and the Purpose of the great Life are revealed and where any human selfishness and self-interest disappear in the clear light of the Will of God. Through the correct understanding and proper use of astral nature, control over it, and understanding of the nature of the sense consciousness, man is able to penetrate into the very heart of God Himself and learn, dispelling all doubts, that everything is good, since everything is Love. Through the correct use of the mind and a correct understanding of the nature of intelligence, a person is able to penetrate into the mind of God and learn that everything is good, since everything is planned and the divine goal steadily accomplishes its tasks.

The work of the Atlantean Adepts was to introduce into the world consciousness the fact that God is Love. This is symbolic of the truth, as is the use of God’s word. The work of the Aryan Adepts is to introduce into the world consciousness the fact that God is Will. In doing so, They 360] work with the intelligence of the human family in order to help people to take the mind under control, to subordinate the mind to other forms and through the mind to reveal to the person what is and what will be. Thus, the connection of man with the esoteric head center of a single Life is established. They bring into contact with the heart center of Nature, thanks to the development of sensitivity in them and the associated disclosure through pain. This phrase expresses a truth that cannot be stated more clearly until the human consciousness becomes more accommodating. The forms of the divine manifestation of the vegetable kingdom through the use of color are also brought into vibrational contact with that force center of Nature which is analogous to the throat center of man.

In using these words, I mean chiefly that Life which is expressed through our planet, that is, our Planetary Logos, but (whether it is worth repeating) this representation can be extended to the greater Life, merely a reflection and expression of which is our Planetary Logos. Man is the brain of nature; animals are the heart; the vegetable world is the expression of the creative power, or throat center; these three kingdoms of nature correspond peculiarly to the three higher centers of man, just as the three kingdoms, which are on the involutional arc, correspond to the three lower centers, and the mineral kingdom, however incomprehensible this idea may seem to those of you who do not possess the consciousness of life as a pect, corresponds to the solar plexity.

Over time, these correspondences change. In Lemurian times, if we consider humanity as the kingdom of nature, it expressed the center of the solar plexus, while the animal kingdom symbolized the sacred center, and the center at the base of the spine was symbolized by the vegetable kingdom. V 361] the mid-Atlantic period, which was characterized by some major changes and experiments, there were changes in the whole process; certain Egos came, as is known from the "Secret Doctrine" and the "Treatise on Cosmic Fire", and thanks to their efforts a giant leap forward became possible. Chitta, or mental matter, vibrated more strongly, and we are now living in a period of the most intense activity of a particular mind.

Esoteric teaching states that all three aspects of divinity are themselves threefold, so we can divide the energy of the human mind into three aspects as well. Thus, we have:

1. The lower concrete mind, which in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is called

Chita, or mental substance.

2. Abstract mind, or that aspect of the mind which is connected with the world of ideas. 3. Intuition, or pure reason, which is the highest for a person

For all three, the autumnal or all-encompassing sphere of expression is the third active.

The intellectual God. The lines of force from these three lower aspects lead back (if we can use such an inadequate expression) to the third plane, just as the astral lines of force lead to the second, or monadic plane, although they lead only to the buddhic or intuitive plane in human consciousness.

It is interesting to note that just as the Monad, driven by desire, produces that form of life which we call personality, so the aspect of the mind, as part of the design carried out by the Universal Mind, in turn produces that manifestation which we call Manasaputra, the great Son of Mind on the mental plane. Therefore it is the principle of mind in 362] that brings into manifestation the egoic body, the causal vehicle called Karana Sharira, or the twelve-petalled lotus. Here, of course, we are expressed exclusively in terms of the aspect of form. The reason is on the cosmic planes on which the Planetary Logos leads its life. From the cosmic astral plane comes the impulse that leads to the existence of forms and their concrete expression, since any clothing in the form is the result of desire. From the cosmic mental plane proceeds the will to be in time and space, which produces the seven groups of egoic lives and the third outpouring.

From this it can be concluded that the proper use of the energy of the initiates ensures its connection not only with the higher planes of the solar system, but also with those cosmic planes on which, symbolically speaking, our Logos has its personal aspect. The proper use of physical energy by the initiates gives him “freedom” on the cosmic physical plane. The proper use of astral energy to initiates gives him power on the cosmic astral plane, and the proper use of mental energy gives him access to the cosmic mental plane. It is clear that the three higher centers of man, when fully functioning, contribute to the transfer of energies from these higher planes to the sphere of activity of the initiate and become gates to spheres that are closed to him until then.

Each center, or chakra, is composed of three concentric, spiral turns, or wheels, which in a spiritual person on the path of testing slowly move in one direction, but gradually accelerate their rotation as he approaches the portal of the Path of Initiation. At initiation, the chakra center (the point of latent fire) is affected, rotation becomes more intense, and movement becomes four-dimensional. It is difficult to express these ideas in words so that they can be understood by the uninitiated, but this effect can be described as 363] the transition from a measured rotation to a rotation-radiation, "wheel revolving around itself", as expressed in the ancient Scriptures. Thus, when by purification, by following the rules, and by striving, which is not stopped by any obstacles, and which is not stopped by suffering, the aspirant achieves the pulsation and rotation of his centers, then, and only then, can the Master introduce him into the Presence of the Hierophant. Then the Initiator, having full knowledge of the Ray and the pupil's subjunctive, both egoic and personal, and aware of karma, which has not yet been fully worked out, touches the center or centers ready to be revived, and the hidden fire flares up and focuses. Always remember that in the vitalization of the revival of the center, the corresponding head center necessarily takes place, until finally the seven centers in the body and the seven centers in the head will not rotate in unison. Remember also that both the four small rays pass into the three main rays, and the four small centers similarly pass into the pralaya, having their focus throat center. Thus, we have three centers - the head, the heart and the throat - containing internal fire, and three main head centers vibrating with them in unison.

I understand that all this technical information is difficult to comprehend, however, it has its value, and much of what is reported here will prove useful when all of you move to the other side and a new cohort of aspiring will follow in your footsteps. Training the mental body makes a lot of sense, but many avoid technical details under the pretext that they prefer the life side of truth, although it is all about their inherent mental laziness. The teaching that you

Now you get it, just an alphabet of esotericism. But do not waste time on too detailed research. All that is now possible is a broad overview, a reserve of patience, a willingness to recognize the limitations of the physical brain and acceptance of hypotheses. It makes sense to believe in these hypotheses until your intuition resists them or they contradict the previous teachings given by the other Lodge Messengers. 364] I do not proclaim all that I have said as dogma. In these instructions, I only communicate certain information, the correctness of which I leave to demonstrate to the future. I only ask that it be taken into account; and in the future, much of what now seems strange or even contradictory will be illuminated, gradually unraveled, and more easily assimilated. Little knowledge leads to much confusion if the assessment of its truth is not postponed for a time when years of teaching will increase the stock of knowledge and it can be tried in practice.

Back to our topic. The heart center of a person opens the door to what is called the “heart of the Sun.” The throat center opens up the possibility of a complete understanding of the path of the physical Sun, and all true astrologers should eventually activate this center. The main center opens the way to the central Spiritual Sun, with each center through a planetary correspondence connecting with one of the cosmic planes.

So, we have a sum of technical details and facts that (according to the Law of Analogy) are purely academic interest, no more. Even those of us who are initiates know practically nothing about the cosmic plans except the cosmic physical. Our consciousness is just beginning to become solar, and we are directing our small forces to overcome the planetary constraints that keep us from solar knowledge and life. For those who do not even know what planetary consciousness is, the value of the above information lies only in the fact that it emphasizes the synthetic nature of the great Plane and the fact that the smallest unit is an integral part of the Whole. It also emphasizes the idea that energy is the life fluid that circulates through the entire body of the Logos and thus animates even the tiniest atom of this Whole. It is very important to strive to cover the whole picture and see the miracle of what is revealed. Nevertheless, it would be a waste of time to contemplate, for example, the cosmic astral plane of 365, even if the Ego plan (the fifth sub-plan of the cosmic physical plane, counting from top to bottom) is still unattainable for the average person and constitutes the goal of all his aspiration and meditation.

Therefore, for man, the Universal Mind can best be realized by what is called a particular mind, an abstract mind and intuition, or a pure mind.

A specific mind is the ability to create forms. Thoughts are things. An abstract mind is the ability to construct images, models, or minds that work with the blueprints by which forms are modeled. Intuition, or pure intelligence, is the ability to allow a person to come into contact with the Universal Mind and embrace the Plan synthetically, comprehend divine Ideas, and highlight some fundamental pure truths.

The aim of all the work of the aspirant is to understand those aspects of the mind with which he must learn to work. Thus, his work can be summarized as follows:

1. He must learn to think; to discover that he has an apparatus called the mind, and to reveal his abilities and powers. They are well analyzed for us in the first two books of the Yoga Sutra Patanjali.

2. He must then learn to control his thought processes and, by subduing his mind’s tendency to form, to identify the ideas underlying this divine thought-form, the world-process, in order to learn to work in cooperation with the Plan and to subordinate his own capacity for creation.

thoughts of these ideas. He must learn to penetrate into the world of these divine ideas and study the “images of heaven,” as they are called in the Bible. It should start 366] to work with drawings, which modeled and built all things. Then he becomes a student-symbolist and turns from an idolater into a divine idealist. I use those words in their true meaning.

3. Having become an idealist, he must progress further until he enters the realm of pure intuition. He can then know Truth at its source. He enters the Mind of God Himself. He becomes intuitive as well as idealistic, and receptive to divine thoughts that fertilise his mind. Later, as he becomes accustomed to these flashes of intuition, he calls them ideas or ideals and bases all his work and activity on them.

4. Then comes the period of working on the conscious construction of thought forms on the basis of divine ideas emanating in the form of intuitive insights from the Universal Mind. This is done through meditation.

Every real student knows that this implies concentration, in order to set up, or orient, the lower mind to the higher. The usual urge to build thought forms is temporarily blocked. Through meditation, which is the mind's ability to be in the light and in this light to be aware of the Plan, it learns to "lead" the right ideas. Through contemplation, he becomes able to enter into that silence that will allow him to “connect” to the divine mind, to extract the thought of God from the divine consciousness and know. This is the work of every aspirant, hence the need for him to understand the nature of his mental problem, the tools by which he must do the work, and the application which he is obliged to find of what he learns and receives through the proper use of the mental apparatus.

How to do it? How to do this and how to build it later?

367] No matter how small or insignificant the individual thinker may be, but in collaboration with his brothers he wields a powerful force. It is only through the steady, strong, correct thinking of people and the correct use of mental energy that evolution can progress in the desired directions. Proper thinking depends on many factors; some of them are useful to briefly list:

1. Ability to understand vision. It includes the ability to at least be a little aware of the archetype according to which the Lodge tries to model the race. This implies cooperation in Manu’s work and the development of abstract, as well as synthetic thinking, the disclosure of intuition. Intuition snatches from high places the detail of the ideal Plan of the ideal hidden in the mind of the Logos. As this ability develops, people will touch the sources of power that are not on mental levels, but form those levels that nourish the mental plane.

2. Then, having realized the vision and only for a moment seeing a particle of beauty (quite as small people know how to see!) you get a favorable opportunity to bring down to the mental plane as much of this Plan as you are able. At first, you can barely grasp the vision, and yet it will begin to materialize. At first you find that you can only touch it occasionally, because vision comes through the medium of the causal body, and so far only a few are able to hold this high state of consciousness for a long time. But the struggle for understanding will lead to results, and gradually the idea will seep into specific levels of the mental plane. Then it will become a concrete thought, something that can be clearly visualized and taken as the basis of thinking.

3. When this is done, what happens next? The period of gestation, the period when you build your thought form based on the scope of vision that you are able to convey 368] to your consciousness. This should be slow, because

Stable vibration and well-built shape is desirable. Haste in work does not lead to anything good. While you are building, you begin to feel the need, the strong desire to bring this vision to the ground, to acquaint other human sons with it. Then you revive the thought-form by the power of your will, try to make it be; the rhythm becomes heavier and slower, the material embedded in your form inevitably becomes condensed, and you find that the thought-form of your vision is wrapped in the matter of the mental and astral planes.

4. Happy is the student who can bring the vision even closer to people and achieve its embodiment on the physical plane. Remember that the materialization of some aspect of vision on the physical plane is never the work of one person. Only when it is realized by many, only when they have worked out its material form, their combined efforts can lead it to external manifestation. Thus, you are convinced of the benefits of education and the formation of public opinion, this leads many assistants to help several seers. The Law always works: as the differentiation occurs. Two or three perceive the Plan intuitively; then the rhythm which they set by their thought excites the activity of matter of the mental plane; thinkers grasp the idea. It’s hard to learn and hard to do, but the reward is great.

For those who struggle, strive and persist, joy doubles when materialization occurs. You feel the joy of contrast, for by knowing the darkness of the past you have helped to heal the deep light of the world; you feel the joy of the soul-filled and tested fellowship, as the years have revealed your chosen companions, and in the common sufferings your connection has been forged; you feel the peace after victory, as for the tired fighter the fruits of achievement and rest are doubly sweet; you feel the joy of participating in Plan 369] of the Masters, and all. This is the joy that awaits all of you, and it is not that far away. So work, not for joy, but in its direction; not for reward, but out of the inner need to help; not for gratitude, but out of the impulse that comes when the vision is realized and the role that is meant for you to bring that vision down to earth is recognized.

It is useful to understand the difference between happiness, joy and bliss: 1. Happiness is rooted in emotions and is a personal response. 2. Joy is the quality of the soul and is realized in the mind when it is attained.

3. Bliss is the nature of the Spirit and speculation about it is useless until the soul feels its oneness with the Father. This state replaces an earlier stage, when the personal self is connected with the soul. Therefore, speculation and analysis of the nature of bliss will not benefit the average person, whose ideas and terminology are forced by personal and connected with the world of feelings. Is happiness or joy inherent in the aspirant? If the latter is inherent in it, it must come as a result of group consciousness, group solidarity, unity with all beings, and may not at all relate to the concept of happiness. Happiness is felt when a person meets conditions that satisfy him in some part of his lower nature; it comes when the person feels physical well-being, is satisfied with his environment 370] or with the surrounding personalities, or is satisfied with his mental achievements and contacts. Happiness is the goal of the individual self.

If, however, we try to live as souls, the satisfaction of the lower person is not taken into account, and we find joy in group relationships and in creating conditions that lead to a better expression of the souls of those with whom we communicate. Bringing joy to others in order to create conditions in which they

They can manifest themselves better in physical actions if we try to improve their material position, or in emotional impact if our presence pacifies and inspires them, or in intellectual impact if we encourage them to think and understand more clearly. And what we feel at the same time is joy, because our action was selfless, sincere and independent of the situation and from the social position of the aspirant. Feelings of happiness pass when poor health is oppressed, problems with others appear, conditions of existence become difficult when the accumulated karma of many births is pressed or when family, national or racial anxiety forebodings take possession of a sensitive personality. The happiness of youth or the self-centered contentment of a selfish person who has cut himself off from all problems should not be confused with joy.

The banality and the occult paradox is the fact that in a moment of deep personal grief and unhappiness, the joy of the soul can be recognized and felt. This is the case, however, and that is what the student should remember. Some people are happy because they turn a blind eye to the truth or hypnotize themselves, going into the shell of illusions. The aspirant has in most cases already reached a stage where his eyes are wide open and see clearly; he has learned to speak to himself 371He does not build a wall between himself and others. He woke up and came alive, he is sensitive and often suffers. He wonders why he seems to have been abandoned by what the world calls happiness and peace, and asks himself what will happen in the end.

We, who are watching and leading on the inner side, are following with loving attention all of you who have fallen into the midst of the collision. We're like the General Staff, watching the battle from a safe altitude. Our security is the guarantee of your ultimate success, as we keep in our hands the solution to many problems and help you if the battle begins to go against our plans. I would like you to always remember the extremely important statement that the destruction of forms is the secret of all evolution. Don't think of it as truism. You will see that such destructions are constantly happening and you must be prepared for them. Teachers use the form to the last opportunity; They try to work through it, trapping life between the limiting walls just as much as the form serves its purpose and the race receives instruction through this form. Then comes the moment when the form ceases to serve the intended purpose, the structure atrophies, crystallizes and becomes easily destructive. Then its destruction becomes a matter of the greatest importance and benefit, and a new form takes its place. Watch and see if it is. A form is always built, always used as much as possible, always destroyed when it begins to interfere with and constrain the expanding light, and always a new form is quickly created. This is the method from the beginning of the aeon.

In the days of infancy, the forms persisted for a long time. Evolution has progressed more slowly, but now that everything is moving upwards, the life span of the form is short. It lives for a short period; it quickly fulfills its purpose and 372] is replaced by another form. This speed increases rather than decreases as the consciousness of the race, or the inner extension of its life, vibrates in an ever faster, lighter rhythm.

It is also necessary to realize that one of the principal purposes of the pursuit in our time by those whom you call the Big Brothers of the race is to stimulate, purify, and coordinate the etheric body. The etheric body is not only a transmitter of prana, but also a means of manifesting all the energies that we consider. It is also important in other tasks:

(a) Being literally the matter of the physical plane, the etheric consciousness represents the next step forward for the race. At first, this will be demonstrated as the disclosure of etheric vision and the ability to know etheric matter;

In the near future, it will become a field for research by modern scientists. For ten years, many professional physicians recognize the etheric body as a fact of nature;

Most of the diseases that the physical body suffers from today have their roots in the etheric body. There are few physical diseases, if any. The source of the disease is in the astral and etheric states;

d) The secret of safe healthy clairvoyance and clairaudience is to purify

E) The etheric emanations of people can greatly pollute the atmosphere. Therefore, from purification

This body depends on the appearance of a more attractive and healthy humanity. Hence the importance of the etheric body. There are many other arguments that will be discussed later. Starting to form your own ideas about this subject, it is useful to adhere to broad generalizations, until the whole topic does not take in your mind clear outlines.

However, work on the etheric body from the point of view of the Hierarchy is not limited to human bodies. It is a planetary 373] process. The etheric body of the Earth itself is subjected to a certain stimulation. The spirit of the Earth, this mysterious Planetary Being (not the Planetary Logos) is animated in a certain new sense, and its revival produces many interesting consequences. It goes three ways.

1. By increasing the rate of vibration of the etheric atoms as a result of the manifestation of the ceremonial Ray. This cannot be thought of as a sudden violent change. From the point of view of the student, the increase in speed seems slow and gradual, which is almost imperceptible. However, stimulation is taking place and over the centuries it will be recognized.

2. As a result of the influence of certain astral forces on the etheric body, which leads to slow but specific changes in the internal structure of the atom, the disclosure of the consciousness of another spirilla and the general compaction of the entire cosmos of the atom.

It should be noted that the Spirit of the Earth is slowly and gradually awakening. It is on an involution arc, and will transition to an evolutional one in the uncertainly distant future. Thanks to this stimulation, the devas of the ethers are consistently progressing in their evolution and are approaching closer to their ideal.

To all that I have said about the etheric body of man, the planet, the Spirit of the Earth, we must add another very important fact relating to the present situation. It is necessary to learn that the dominant over the five Rays is now the Seventh Ray. The seventh ray is the ray that controls all the ether and the dev of the ethers. Alignment of ego with personality

It is in the alignment of the three vehicles, the physical, the emotional, and the lower mental bodies, within the boundaries of the causal body, and in their stabilization there, that the real work of the Ego, or the Higher Self, in any incarnation, consists by the effort of the will. The great thinkers of the race, the true representatives of the lower mind, are in essence those who have the three lower bodies aligned; in other words, those whose mental body carefully maintains the alignment of the other two bodies. Then the mental body is in direct, free from obstacles and interference, connection with the physical brain.

If the alignment of the quadripartite and the three aforementioned bodies are aligned with the body of the Higher Self, the causal or egoic body, and firmly held within it, then the work of the great leaders of the race, those who emotionally and intellectually guide the human race, can be carried out; then inspired writers and dreamers can convey their inspirations and dreams to the masses, and synthetically and abstractly thinking people can convey their concepts to the world of form. It’s all about the unobstructed channel. So when time permits, strengthen physical coordination; then add emotional stability to physical coordination, and you get two conductors functioning as one. When coordination includes the mental body, the development of the trinity of the lower man reaches its apotheosis, and man basically completes his changes in the world of forms.

Later, when the coordination with the Higher Self becomes perfect, a direct communication channel is established - through the "pipeline", so to speak - with consciousness at the level of the physical brain. Previously, the direct channel was a rare phenomenon. In a person with a coordinated personality, the four smaller centers of the brain function in high vibration; the process of aligning the Ego with the lower bodies is accompanied by the development of the pineal gland and pituitary, and with their coordinated functioning (which has its place to the third Initiation), the third center - the alta - intensifyes its vibration, which was previously weak. By the fifth Initiation, the interaction between the three centers becomes perfect, and the alignment of bodies is geometrically accurate; then we have the perfect five-fold superman.

In the average person, alignment is possible only in certain periods: in moments of stress, making efforts that require high humanity, or the most intense aspiration. Distancing is more or less necessary before the ego takes over the personality, or lower self, under continuous control. If there is a detachment from emotions based on mentality and manifested in the physical brain, then alignment begins.

Hence the need for meditation, as it promotes detachment and brings both emotions and mentality into a state of receptiveness to abstract thinking.

Alignment and Vibration

Do not forget that this is largely a matter of matter and vibration. Abstract levels of the mental plane consist of three higher levels, the first of which is called the third sub-plane. As explained earlier, each sub-plan has its own correspondences on the main plans. Therefore, if you have embedded in your bodies, physical, emotional, and mental, the matter of the third sub-plane of any of the above-mentioned planes, then the Higher Self begins to function consciously and for ever longer through the aligned personality. So that only when a certain percentage (which is one of the secrets of the Initiation) of the matter of the third subplane is contained in the vehicles, the Personality, as a conscious whole, is aware of the Higher Self and obeys it. Once this percentage is reached, it becomes necessary to incorporate the matter of the two higher subplanes of the physical and emotional planes, hence the struggle of the striving for the purification and discipline of the physical body, as well as for the submission of the emotional body. Purification and submission are the work that must be done on these two plans. It involves the use of the lower mind, and eventually the three lower vehicles align.

After that, vibrations of abstract levels can begin to be felt. It must be remembered that they come through the causal body, the vehicle of the Higher Self, and the causal body is on the third sub-plane of the mental plane. This fact is not sufficiently understood. Think about it. Real abstract thinking becomes possible only when the Personality, in response to the vibration of the Ego, has aligned itself to such an extent that a completely unobstructed channel has formed. Then periodically, at first rarely, then increasingly abstract ideas begin to seep down and in due course are replaced by flashes of real enlightenment or intuition coming from the Spiritual Triad, or the true Trinitarian Ego itself.

The Ego Accord

What do I mean when I use the expression “in response to vibration”? I mean the adaptation of the Personality, or lower self, to the Ego, or Higher self, the domination of the Ego Ray over the Personality Ray and the union of their tones. I am referring to the fusion of the primary color of the Higher Self with the secondary shade of the lower self and the resulting beauty. At first there is dissonance and discord, conflict of colors and struggle between the Higher and the lower. But with time, and later with the help of the Master, the harmony of color and tone is born (these are synonyms), so that, in the end, there is a basic note of matter, a major friction of the aligned Personality, the dominant quintet of the Ego, and, finally, the complete chord of the Mo-nada, or Spirit.

This is the dominant we aspire to when we become adepts, as we have previously achieved the perfect tercium of the Personality. In different incarnations, we voice different musical variations and repeat them on all intermediate notes; sometimes our lives are major, sometimes minor, but they always lead to greater beauty and flexibility. At the proper time, each note enters into its own chord, the chord of the Spirit; each chord forms part of the phrase, the phrase or group to which that chord belongs; the phrase serves to complete one seventh of the whole. And all seven then form the sonata of our solar system - part of the Trinity masterpiece of the Logos, or God, the Master Musician.

Microcosmic and macrocosmic alignments

This morning, I would like to touch again upon the subject of egoic equalization, showing its universality according to the Law of Correspondence. It is based on geometry or numbers and numbers.

The purpose of human evolution in the three worlds — on the physical, emotional and mental planes — is to align the threefold Personality with the egoic body until a single straight line is formed and the person becomes One.

Each life that the Personality leads, at its conclusion, is represented by some geometric figure, the lines of which resemble the lines of the cube and demonstrate one or another form. Complex and fuzzy, with rough contours

The forms of early life appear; the forms of the average man of our generation are clear and distinct. When he enters upon the Path of Discipleship, the task is to merge all this set of lines into one, and gradually it succeeds. The teacher is the One who has achieved the fusion of all the lines of the fivefold development first into three, then into one. A six-pointed star becomes a five-pointed star, a cube becomes a triangle, and a triangle turns into a line; a line (at the end of a large cycle) becomes a point in the circle of manifestation.

Hence the attempt to teach the aspirant simplicity based on the Trinity.

Fundamental truth and totality of return.

Every life tends to be more stable, but it is still rare to find a trinity aligned with, so to speak, causal consciousness. There are moments when this happens and (in the moment of the highest aspiration and in the presence of an unselfish motive) the higher and the lower form a straight line. Usually the emotional body, due to violent emotions and vibrations, or due to constant anxiety, is constantly unbalanced. If the emotional body can be instantly aligned, then the activity of the mental body is an obstacle to the descent of the flow from the higher to the lower, that is, to the physical brain. It takes many lives of intense aspiration before the emotional body can be calmed down and a mental body built that acts as a filter rather than a barrier. But even when this has been achieved to some extent, the emotional body is stabilized and serves as a pure reflector, and the mental body acts as a sensitive discerning and intelligent interpreter of the highest reported truth — even then, it must be said, it takes a great deal of discipline and many lives of work to level both at the same time. After that, it remains to achieve control over the physical brain and its superior alignment, so that it can serve as a direct receiver and transmitter of the teachings and can accurately reflect higher consciousness.

What is Macro-Cosmic Correspondence? Where is the analogy in the solar system? I'll give you one indication. In the direct alignment of certain planets with each other and with the Sun in the process of evolution of the system is the Logoic, or divine, alignment. Think about it, but I warn you: do not try to rely on physical planets in your hypothesis of alignment. The truth is not here. Only three physical planets (and these three are in etheric matter) participate in the final attainment of the Logos cosmic egoic consciousness, which is the final achievement of His achievement. Earth is not among these three, but Venus occupies a place corresponding to the emotional constant atom. Further alignment continues, in aligning our entire solar system with the Sirius system is an even more distant goal. This is an event of the distant future, in it the mystery of a more encompassing cycle.

SPIRITUAL LIFE IN A NEW AGE

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that two great groups of divine agents, the Great White Brotherhood and the Lodge of Materialistic Forces, are trying to direct these energies through channels leading to the goals they are working towards and with which they were formed. Therefore, it should be remembered that behind all external events are two of these driving factors. Thus, we have:

1. Two groups of advanced Minds; both groups are equally enlightened by the light of intelligence, and both clearly articulate their goals; but these goals differ in their focus and emphasis. One group, according to the divine plan, works exclusively with the aspect of form, and it lacks the light of love and selflessness. The other group works only with the soul, or aspect of consciousness, and is guided by the doctrine of the heart and the law of love. Thus, both groups confront each other on the mental plane.

2. Designs embodying these two different ideals and goals are then deposited on the astral plane, that is, in the world of desires. The demarcation lines between the two groups are always quite clear to their workers, but not so clear to ordinary human beings, world students and initiates. Chaos reigns on the plane of desire, and the world Arjuna stands today in confusion between two opposing forces or camps, acknowledging his connection with both form and 108] with the soul, while at the same time wanting to know what his duty is. His point of evolution determines his problem. Thus, both groups confront each other on the plan of desires.

3. The materialization of the plans of both groups of enlightened minds is invariably subject to the different laws of their being: the laws of formal life and the laws of spiritual existence. At the present initial stage, when the fight is in the sphere of desires (for it is the main conflict, and everything that happens on the physical plane is only a reflection of internal conflict), the forces of both groups, working with the energies of the Sixth and Seventh Rays, caused a state of cataclysm on the physical plane. The economic situation and religious enmity are its two main consequences. You should think about this topic.

So we have two groups, two goals, two great formulated ideals, two streams of active energy and two Rays prevailing in the conflict and thus generating different ideologies. The result of this duality is external chaos, the division of both group ideals into many human experiments and, as a result, the fragmentation of the human family under different banners, which indicates the presence of different points of view in all spheres of thinking: political, religious, economic, social, educational and philosophical. I claim that the outcome of this conflict is definitely positive and demonstrates the enduring success of the great White Lodge. The consciousness of mankind has undoubtedly expanded, and today the whole world of people thinks. This is a completely new phenomenon 109] and a fresh experience in the life of the human soul. And the first result of all this confusion was a shift in the focus of human attention to the mental plane, and therefore closer to the sources of light and love.

It is there that, thanks to a remarkable change in focus, world students can take responsibility and begin active work. When I speak of the disciples, I use the term to refer to all those who contribute to the formation of true humanity, who seek brotherhood and expression in the life of higher, spiritual values. I do not use it at all in a technical sense, implying a recognized connection with the Hierarchy at the stages of the subject or

A good student, but I also mean the latter. I am talking about all those who aspire, about all those who have a sense of true values and respond to the world’s need.

In order to better understand the problem raised and the different working methods that characterize those who in the past acted under the influence of the Sixth Ray and those who learn to work under the influence of the incoming Seventh Ray, it is useful to briefly compare the two modes of activity. It should be remembered that both methods of work are equally good in their time and place, but the modern student should abandon the old methods and steadily learn to apply new, more modern and effective ones. He should do so with optimism and confidence, bearing in mind that the benefits and experiences he has gained through the discipline of the Sixth Ray are his precious asset, as they have been translated into his properties and habits. It is new ways of working and new forces and goals that the student must master in the present era 110] must rely on past lessons learned and base its new understanding of truth on the solid foundations and sustainable guidelines now being laid.

The first thing a sincere aspirant should do is to stop to ask himself if he is working mainly under the impulse of the Sixth Ray or under the influence of the Seventh. I deliberately use the words “impulse” and “influence” as they describe the action of both energies. In one thing all students and aspirants can be sure: the basic sustained effect of all the powers of the Sixth Ray, established over the last two millennia. They need to be taken into account, aware and try to overcome, then study the latest influences, explore and master the latest methods and bring new ideas and ideals to objectivity, expressing them in a different way. This is the only way to build a new civilization and culture and lay the foundation for the proper development of the human family in the coming era. Therefore, it is useful to compare the old and new ways of discipleship and training, their properties and qualities, methods and goals.

Let us consider the manifestations of the activity of the Sixth Ray, first of all its main characteristics. They are familiar to us, and it is easy to pass from them to the study of new ways of manifesting ancient wisdom and to understand modern methods of work that will give a new impetus to hierarchical activity on the physical plane.

A distinctive feature of the student and the striving past was devotion. The race had to be given the right orientation 111] the world of spiritual values, so the efforts of the Hierarchy over the past twenty centuries have been aimed at placing emphasis on religious values. The main task of the world’s religions for several millennia was to force people to search purposefully for their soul and thus prepare them for entering the fifth kingdom of nature. The manifestation of the latter is planned (if such a specific word can be used here) in the coming age of Aquarius; it will be mainly an age of worldwide discipleship, which later, in the time of Capricorn, will pass into the age of universal initiation. Therefore, the great world religions have held authoritarian power for a very long time; the doctrine of each, adapted to the specificity of the nation, race and time, embodied a certain truth through a specific mentor who attracted spiritually minded individuals around the world to himself, since he embodied for them the highest ultimate goal to which they could aspire. Thus, all world religions were built around some embodied Idea, which expressed the nearest ideal of time and age. This Persona exhibited certain divine attributes and concepts which had to be presented to the sons of men as their possible immediate goal. In all of this, as has already been pointed out, it is easy to see the influence of the Sixth Ray. And if we analyze the influence of the Sixth Ray in the era of,

When only the Sixth Ray was activated, the power of religious ideas, expressed in theological dogmas and doctrines, and the universal authority of the churches immediately become clear.

The orientation of man to the world of higher values was the main task of the coming century of Pisces and 112] fast-moving Sixth Ray. Although this basic orientation has always been at the forefront, we note that for the past two millennia the race has gone through a much higher, more difficult and unusual process of orientation, and for this reason. The fourth kingdom of nature was definitely stretching upward to the revealing fifth kingdom, which necessitated a shift of attention from the three worlds of human expression to the higher world of soul consciousness. Therefore, there was a need to refocus instinctive and intellectual attention, which are the main factors for revealing divine awareness. Awareness can be instinctive, intellectual, and therefore human - and spiritual. But all three are equally divine, which is often forgotten.

The second task of the student of the Sixth Ray, or the man who is emerging from the influence of this Ray, but is still conditioned by it (being an ordinary human being from the point of view of evolution), is the disclosure of the so-called "ability to abstract". The outstanding characteristic of our time as a result of the transformation of human qualities and character in and through students was the manifestation of the idealistic nature of man or his instinctive response to higher intuitive values. In the past, highly developed but rarely encountered people demonstrated the ability to abstract from the material or formal side of life and focus consciousness on the ideal and on the formless expression of living truth. Today, whole masses of people, whole nations adhere to ideas formulated in ideals. This again shows the success of the evolutionary process 113] and the work of the Hierarchy seeking to expand human consciousness.

Thanks to the powerful long-term action of the Sixth Ray, the reaction of the average person is selfless devotion to his personal ideal plus fanatical (for this is all that he seeks to impose his idealistic dream potentially is) to others, and so that, unfortunately, the initial idea is lost, the original ideal disappears and the enthusiast is much more occupied with the method of embodying his ideal than the ideal itself. So the idea is lost in the ideal, and the ideal, in turn, in the way it is embodied. A man becomes a fanatic of an ideal, which may or may not have a concrete expression; this ideal controls his thoughts, determines his actions, and often leads a man to ruthless extremes in the interests of his exceptional idea.

Under the direct influence of the Sixth Ray, the divine principle of desire shifted greatly from the desire to possess material forms to the sphere of higher desires. Although materialism is still flourishing, few people are not yet inspired by any ideal for which they are ready to make sacrifices if necessary. This is a relatively new phenomenon that should be noted. For centuries, the great sons of God have been willing to die for an idea; today, whole masses of people are ready for it and are already doing it, whether it is the idea of a state, an empire or a superhuman nation, a response to the urgent need of the world, or a strong commitment to any ideology. This testifies to the phenomenal achievement of race and the apparent success of the 114] Hierarchy in shifting human aspiration into the world from which ideas come, to higher and less material values.

The instinct that characterized the period of the outgoing Sixth Ray and which was noticeably strengthened under its influence is the instinct of taste: taste for food, for human taste.

communication, to color, form, art and architecture, to all areas of human knowledge. Distinctive taste has reached a relatively high stage of development over the last two millennia, and “good taste” is today highly valued and constitutes a goal for the masses of people. This is a completely new phenomenon, which was still the prerogative of a few highly cultured people. Think about it. It marks an evolutionary achievement. Students of the world need to transform the sense of taste into its highest correspondence, distinguishing the sense of values. Hence the clear emphasis placed in all textbooks on apprenticeship on the need to develop a distinction. Desire, taste, and discernment are the tasks of all evolutionary discovery and the goals of all students stimulated by the Sixth Ray.

The sequence in which the race performs the tasks of the Sixth Ray is as follows: 1. Development of instinct. Then the desire is realized, and so the needs gradually

They are expanding, becoming aware and need to be reoriented.

2. The subsequent urge of human consciousness to expand, leading to

The end result is spiritual aspiration.

3. Then comes the reflection of reality in the mind; the person feels it,

He wants to do it and does it through group work.

115] The mechanism of the human being, by which the soul comes into contact with the three worlds, and without which the latter (according to the present plan) would remain sealed and inaccessible to the experience and experiments of the soul, has been much more refined and developed in the last two millennia than in the previous ten thousand years. The reason is that the human mind consciously facilitated the process of coordinating instincts by transforming instinctive responses into conscious perception. In the case of the world student, this process has moved into the next stage of discovery, which we call intuitive knowledge. The continuations of the five senses, or their highest correspondences on the subtle planes, are quickly revealed and realized, and it is through these inner senses that spiritual investigations become as possible as the more habitual psychic ones. Three Phases:

a. Instinct and aspiration b. The awakening of divine desire. Reflection of reality

The history of the activity of the Sixth Ray and its connection with the main field of its expression, the astral plane, over the past few centuries.

We can now consider the Seventh Ray and its relation to the present situation in the same way that the Sixth Ray was considered. This will give you an idea of the development process and what events can be expected in the near future. As you may have noticed, any ray can be viewed from two perspectives. 116] First of all, it can be studied from the point of view of energy, which always interacts with other energies and forces, often generates conflicts, and as a result - a situation completely different from the previous one. The stages of this process can be briefly described in the following words: contact, conflict, settlement, equilibrium (something like the deadlock or static state that came in the nineteenth century), absorption and final disappearance of weaker outgoing energy. Such an end is always inevitable, for it is not the Rays themselves that come into conflict, but the substances and forms involved. Secondly, the quality of the beam can be considered. It is in reality an expression of his soul and inner nature, and when faced with the conditions existing at the time of the coming of the Ray into manifestation, it performs three actions:

1. It changes the nature of civilization and the culture of mankind in any given period. This is what the Hierarchy uses when ray energies meet. Culture changes first, as all basic qualitative changes are always

They go from top to bottom and it is the intelligentsia that feels them first. And the subsequent change of forms automatically directs the process in the opposite direction. This is how connecting points arise in the course of evolution. When scientists who study the theory and processes of evolution recognize the rays and take up the study of their interaction, there will be certain changes in their views and another step towards the truth will be taken. This same concept is also at the heart of my teaching about the Great Convergence, which is about to take place (perhaps very soon 117] soon) between the fourth and fifth kingdoms of nature. The dynamic living core of the fifth kingdom is Hierarchy.

2. It changes other kingdoms of nature, producing certain qualities of the soul of each kingdom (for all have different qualities of the soul), and, as a result, changes forms.

3. Changes the types of Egos, or souls, embodied in any ray period. By this I mean that, as during the period now coming to an end, most incarnate souls were of the Sixth Ray in their quality, so in our time we may expect an increase in the number of the Seventh Ray Ego. Therefore, the coming civilization of the Seventh Ray - the civilization of synthesis, fusion and a more complete manifestation of the soul - and the new stage in which the white magic of the Hierarchy enters are inevitable and require certain preparations and training. The possibilities of a future age of magic are great, and one of the reasons for the present manifestation of the Seventh Ray is that, thanks to the rapid improvement and integration of the human personality, the highest integration between the soul and the personality has become possible and is easier to carry out than ever before. Therefore, new forms through which this desired process can be carried out should gradually develop scientifically. As you understand, this is achieved by activating the forces acting through the etheric body, coordinating the seven main centers and establishing a rhythmic relationship between them. The seventh ray controls predominantly the etheric levels of the physical plane 118. It does not control the dense physical form that is under the control of the Third Ray. It is the vital or ethereal body that responds to the incoming influence of the Seventh Ray and develops through it.

Note that in discussing the methods of the Seventh Ray to achieve its goals, I experience language difficulties and limitations, because we are talking about a new and still difficult to understand phenomenon and those processes that will eventually be carried out with the help of true scientific magic. The new magic will have no more to do with the primitive actions and often absurd procedures of magicians, alchemists and other figures of the past than with the algebraic formulas. Let me also remind you that at the center of ancient magic, in Egypt, the magical work was entirely focused on the creation of physical effects and material results, and that the focus of the attention of the magicians of those days is evidenced by the amazing giant ancient forms, which silently tower in their original splendor, attracting the attention of archaeologists and travelers; the practiced forms of lower magic were intended for the magical protection of physical forms and other similar ones. In a later period we observe the appearance of alchemy in its many forms, as well as the search for the Philosopher's Stone and the doctrine of the three basic mineral elements. Those who aspire to the esoteric, subjective side of life have been driven to seek out what might unite the three lower physical levels, and this is by nature a profound symbol of the unfolding of the race. These levels symbolize an integrated physical-astral-mental person. When the Philosopher's Stone 119 is added to these three elements, it symbolizes the soul's control over the four higher energy levels of the physical plane:

The Philosopher's Stone is the emblem of such desirable control. I said "emblem," not "symbol." The symbol is the outward visible sign of the inner spiritual reality manifested on the physical plane thanks to the power of the embodied inner life. Emblem is the human formulation of the concept created by man and embodying the truth for him as he sees and understands it. The symbol is always greater than the emblem.

The etheric levels are also the field of expression of the soul, whether the human soul or the soul as an expression of the higher triad, the monadic life. I wonder if any of you have the slightest idea of what will happen to humanity when the inner subjective reality that functions through the etheric body and freely pours its forces through the centers of this body, realizes its main final integration with the dense physical apparatus, bringing it to full submission as a result of the previous integration between the soul and the person?

We are therefore now living in the most interesting and decisive period in the history of race and planet, a period unlike any preceding one, for the evolutionary process has certainly been successful, despite all the mistakes, failures and delays; many of the latter were due to the refusal (strange and incomprehensible to you) of the energies concentrated in Shambala to impose willpower on matter and form until such time as it could be carried out in cooperation with humanity. Until now, this was impossible due to man's unpreparedness for such a task 120] and his ignorance of the Plan. The Lord of Shambhala and His Helpers were forced to wait until at least the faint contours of the Plan were indicated in the consciousness of the race; the latter begin to manifest, and every day more and more developed men and women come (or are brought) in contact with the ideas of the Hierarchy. Therefore, one can expect a gradual cautious appearance of volitional energy corresponding to the highest center of our planet, Shambhala. This center of the monadic center, the power of which begins to be felt in the consciousness of the student, ready for the third initiation. After receiving his second initiation, the observing Hierarchy may mark the steady reorientation of the soul to the monad and the attractive power of this highest aspect over the initiate. Today, so many members of the human family, both incarnate and non-incarnate, have accepted the first two initiations that Shambhala’s attention, through the Hierarchy, is increasingly directed toward humanity and at the same time people’s thoughts are turning to the Plan, to the use of the will for the purpose of governing, guiding, and to the nature of dynamic power. The explosive, dynamic nature of war in this century is an indicator of this, for the energy of the will in one aspect is expressed as death and destruction; The first ray is the ray-destroyer. Therefore, today's events are the result of the influence of shambalic force on the forms of nature due to the incorrect use of this incoming energy by man. Esoterically and in general, wars of the past were caused by the attractive power of possession, which created aggressive acquisitive motives that led to war. Gradually 121] changes occurred, and later wars were motivated by higher reasons, and territorial claims ceased to be their real, main reason. War is caused by economic necessity, either by the desire of a nation or group of nations to dictate their own will or to impose one or another ideology of another nation, or by the desire to get rid of an outdated way of thinking, government, religious dogma that restrain the development of the race. The entry of life into new and improved forms of old ways of existence, old cultures and civilizations must be destroyed or changed. All this is the work of the First Ray of the Will, now expressed mainly through the Seventh Ray of Organization and Connection.

In the study of the Sixth Ray, we have first of all considered its influence on the work and training, the life and plans of the student, which determines, as it should be, his deeds and deeds. Today, this includes the appearance of mentors who claim to be able to teach magic, perform magical actions, work with Rays of various colors and use the Words of Power; they claim to transmit orders and keep the as yet undiscovered desires and secrets of the Masters of Wisdom. These are all kinds of astral ruminations and the result of contact on the astral plane with what will later be deposited on the ground. But the right time has not yet come, the hour for this has not broken. The sense of time, the knowledge of the exact hour of the Plan’s realization in its future details, is not peculiar to these sincere but deluded people, and, focused on the astral plane and mentally undeveloped, they misinterpret to themselves and others what they feel mentally. They know too little, but they are convinced that they know too much. They speak authoritatively, but it is the authority of the undeveloped mind. The use of old magical techniques and the search for hints and indications of too crystallized and outdated methods of the distant past prevail today and are responsible for the huge deception of the masses and, consequently, for mass delusions.

It should be remembered that white magic contributes to 123] the disclosure of the soul in form and the accumulation of the necessary experience. This is not a direct work on form, but an indirect influence of the soul, which functions in any form of each kingdom of nature, bringing it under its control and thereby carrying out the necessary development of the apparatus of contact. The White Magician knows that when the proper, correct radiation stimulation is given to the center, which we call the soul in any form, but not the form itself, the soul thus stimulated itself produces the work of destruction, attraction, reconstruction, and subsequent renewal of the life manifestation. This is true for the soul of man, the soul of the nation, and the soul of humanity itself. Take this, for I have laid out a fundamental rule that has guided white magic for centuries.

That is why the seventh ray is spoken of as the ray that governs the mineral kingdom and manifests through it an important property, the quality of the soul, which we call radiation. The human kingdom is ruled by the Fourth, Fifth, and Fourth Rays again, and this again shows the relationship. Someday the data of connection, the connecting lines of forces will be analyzed, studied by science; energy interconnections will be investigated. The club of controlling energies will attract the attention of a number of the best minds, and as a result, much will open up. However, now such information is not and will not be of any use until a person becomes susceptible to the vibrations of various rays and learns to recognize the radial rhythm in his consciousness. The development of this sensitivity will be quickly followed by many important, revolutionary discoveries.

One of the inevitable consequences of the action of the seventh ray energy will be the union, the unity in the close synthesis of the four kingdoms of nature. It must precede the long predestined work of mankind, which is called upon to become the dispensing agent of spiritual energy for the three prehuman kingdoms. This is the main task of the ministry that the fourth kingdom has undertaken through its incarnating souls. The radiation of the fourth kingdom will one day become so powerful and all-pervading that it will reach the depths of the created phenomenal world, even to the mineral kingdom. And we shall see what the great initiate Paul meant when he said that all things created await the revelation of the sons of God. This revelation is a revelation of radiant glory and power and love.

I emphasize that the influence of the Seventh Ray will cause three consequences in the fourth and

Third Kingdom of Nature. They are: 125]

1. All animal bodies will be steadily purified, and mankind will be purified consciously, thus reaching a higher stage of development. It's happening fast today. Diet and sports, fresh air and sunlight do a lot for the race, and in the next two generations, there will be beautiful bodies and sensitive natures, so that souls will have much better tools to work with.

2. The relationship between the human and animal kingdoms will become ever closer. The service of animals to man is well known and constantly in sight. Human service to animals is not yet realized, although some steps are being taken in the right direction. Eventually, there must be a close synthesis, a sympathetic connection, and the result will be quite amazing examples of human-inspired animal mediation. As a result, animals will begin to develop rapidly the factor of intelligence (the germ of which is instinct), which will be one of the outstanding rapprochement between man and animals.

Of course, the problems of the Hierarchy do not concern those who have not attained liberation and are therefore unable to look at life through the eyes of those who are no longer bound by the forces of the three worlds; but it is useful for students to reflect sometimes on how things look to the Masters and to pay less attention to their own individual difficulties.

One of the main properties of the student on the Seventh Ray is his extreme practicality. His work on the physical plane has one permanent and enduring goal: to embody what will help create the forms of the coming culture and civilization; by the end of the Seventh Ray cycle, he will equally as diligently strive to perpetuate what he has created. He manipulates force by building forms that meet his requirements, and does so more scientifically than students on other Rays. An enthusiast on the Sixth Ray is more inclined to abstraction and mysticism in his work and thinking and rarely truly understands the connection between form and energy. He thinks almost exclusively of the concepts of quality and pays little attention to the material side of life and the true meaning of the substance that produces phenomena. He is inclined to consider matter as evil and form as limitation, and only the consciousness of the soul is important to him. It is the inability to work with a substance intellectually and, I would 127He added, with love, correctly correlating it with a dense external form, created for two millennia this disastrous poorly managed world and brought the world's population into its current crisis state. The unreasonable work on the physical plane of those who are under the influence of the power of the Sixth Ray has caused the world to suffer from separation in the same sense in which one suffers from the “split personality.” The clear, deep demarcation lines between science and religion are a compelling example of this. Such a division is the fruit of the work of the churchmen of the past, and no one else, and the lines mentioned were drawn by impractical, dreamy mystics and fanatics of ideas, unable to grasp the broader meaning and universal nature of their ideas. Of course, this is a generalization. There were many devotees, holy sons of God, who were not at all guilty of such follies and tendencies towards division. But, recognizing this, we must also recognize that orthodox religion, through its thinkers and teachers, has temporarily separated the two great conceptions of spirit and matter, by divorcing science and religion in different directions.

The task of the workers of the new age is to unite the two apparent opposites, to show that spirit and matter are not antagonistic to each other and that in the whole universe there is only a spiritual substance that produces external material forms.

When a form or activity is evil, it is only because the motivating energy behind the form and responsible for its activity is misdirected and applied selfishly and incorrectly. Here it is useful to recall the two basic truisms of modern occultism (there are others that 128] will be communicated after these two are assimilated and correctly applied):

1. Energy follows thought. 2. The right motive causes the right action and creates the right forms. These two statements have a very ancient origin, but are still poorly understood. Hence, the first thing that every student must master is the nature, control, and direction of energy; this is achieved by working with causes, studying the nature of the world of causes, and developing the ability to identify the cause that caused it. The individual student at the initial stage of training constantly examines his motives and so changes his thinking so that these motives in each case are automatically determined by the soul.

The disciple on the Sixth Ray works in most cases on the astral plane, where the focus of his attention, life and thinking is. His physical nature automatically responds to impulses coming from the astral plane, motivated by the mental and - sometimes - guided by the soul. But the strong desire and desire of the student to see the fruits of their labor created a lot of difficulties in the past, as they blocked the manifestation of the initial impulse. It was blocked on the astral plane. This state of affairs was balanced by the cyclical actions of other ray forces, otherwise the situation would have been much worse. The student on the Seventh Ray brings the energy he manipulates directly to the physical plane, thereby achieving integration; his activity is characterized by a duality between the center of energy on the mental plane and that on the 129] physical. The duality of the worker on the Sixth Ray includes pairs of opposites on the astral plane.

Therefore, it is obvious that after the establishment of two points of energy (mental and physical) the next task of the worker of magic is the synthesis on the physical plane of the energies involved, their materialization and the transformation of what is created into an active long-term factor of existence. In most cases, three types of energy are used:

1. Energy of mind. It is the dominant and controlling energy in

Understand that although everything is energy, at the same time, in the correct esoteric teaching, the highest stimulating activity is called energy, and that which is conditioned and activated by it is force. These concepts are relative. For most of humanity, for example, the astral impulse is the highest energy that naturally inspires it, so the forces that the astral energy affects are the etheric and physical forces. Higher energies can periodically control a person, but usually the life impulse or impulse is astral, and it can be called either desire or aspiration, depending on the goal. The disciple on the seventh ray works consciously according to certain laws that govern the form and explain its connection with the spirit, or life. In the Treatise on Cosmic Fire there are given the three principal laws of the solar system and the seven additional laws by which these three are expressed; there are also given instructions as to the laws governing group work. It should be remembered that the students on the various Rays master these laws according to the quality of their ray impulses (here I have difficulty in selecting the appropriate words), interpreting them in terms of their specific life duty, or dharma, and achieving the desired results with the help of various ray techniques, always, however, subject to the inevitable results of the effects of the energies they release on the forces acting on their laws. A disciple on the Sixth Ray, working with the laws of nature and soul, brings quality to the creative forms he creates on the astral plane; therefore, he often has to learn to work for several lifetimes (either before or after reaching the stage of apprenticeship) through the personality of the Seventh Ray before he can realize his dream and vision on the astral plane.

Physically. A student on the seventh ray has no such problem. Through his knowledge of ritual (that is, the ancient sequence of actions to attract and express the necessary energies), understanding the "Words of Power" (which he discovers experimentally) and using the power of sound, the student of the future will work and build a new world with a new culture and civilization. Curious 131] an indicator of the influence of the magical work of the Seventh Ray on mass consciousness is the increasing use of slogans and "key phrases" (isn't that what it is called?), which are used to achieve their own and draw people into a certain mass activity. Of course, they carried this idea to fanaticism and insisted on chastity, asceticism and the harsh rules of physical life, often calling sin what is natural. For them this was a necessary stage of development, for it was important that the physical plane should occupy the main place in their consciousness, distracting their attention from the 132] abstractions (focusing on which constitutes for them the line of least resistance) and focusing it on physical existence, for - I repeat - energy follows thought. Thus, their attitude to life could become more practical and the necessary integration could be achieved. Students in the new century will focus on the mental principle, as it determines thinking and speech. All magical work is based on the energy of thought and the spoken word (as expressions of the two mentioned magical centers), and therefore the purity of mind and motives is considered fundamental.

It is under the influence of the Seventh Ray that the Western School of Occultism will arise in a special, unexpected way, just as the Eastern School of Occultism was formed under the impulse of the Sixth Ray; the latter brings light to the astral plane, while the new incoming influence brings it to the physical. Eastern teachings influenced Christianity, marked, determined the lines of its development, and Christianity is truly a connecting religion. The situation will inevitably change, and the “light of the East” will be lit over Europe and America. He will necessarily produce the necessary desired synthesis of the mystical and occult paths, which will later determine the higher path; it is useless to speak of the latter now, since you will not understand. None of the ancient fundamental Rules of the Way will become obsolete and will not be discarded. Just as people used to walk the roads of antiquity according to the requirements of their time, so today they travel by train or car (arriving to the same destination) on the same road, having the same ultimate goal, albeit in a different way, with different guarantees and precautions. The key note of the disciple’s development on the Sixth Ray was heard for him in the words of Christ, when He said: “And when I am ascended, I will draw all to myself.” All work of the Sixth Ray proceeds according to the Law of Attraction and Repulsion; hence the isolation, the separation, which ultimately leads to the understanding of the need to consciously carry out mentally motivated synthesis, integration. The history of Christianity (that is, the history of Europe) will become clearer if we examine the connection between the Law of Attraction and Repulsion and the events of the past. The abuse of this law, its constant use in the sphere of material desires, personal ambitions and territorial claims has generated many splits, disagreements and will be responsible for much that will happen. Under the influence of the Seventh Ray, the differences will cease, and eventually the synthesis will be established.

The key note of the student on the Seventh Ray is "Emitting Activity." Hence the emergence of some new ideas in the world of thought: about mental radiation or telepathy, about the transfer of heat by radiation, the discovery of radium. All of them testify to the activity of the Seventh Ray.

The divine principle by which the humanity of the seventh ray will be determined is the principle of life expressed through the etheric body. That is why we are witnessing an increasing interest in the nature of vitality: the work of the glands is being studied and their main function as generators of vitality will soon be revealed. Esoterically, they are considered externalization on the physical plane of the force centers of the etheric body, and the degree of their activity is an indicator 134] The state of these centers. The attention of people is also shifting to the field of economics, that is, to the field of life support. Therefore, in all these areas there will be a lot of new, and as soon as the existence of the etheric body becomes an indisputable scientific fact and the centers - the main and small - will be recognized as the focal points of all energies that manifest themselves on the physical plane through the human body, we will witness a great revolution in medicine, in diet and simply in everyday life. It will cause profound changes in the methods of work, work, and most of all in the conduct of human leisure.

This idea leads to the description of three types of activity, applied by all radiation workers and changing depending on the beam. Those who will eventually characterize the individuals of the Seventh Ray will gradually change their attitude towards life and will determine completely different ways of everyday existence. Here they are:

1. group activities to establish a scientific link between the substance and

2. Stimulation of etheric forms by means of a properly directed force. 3. The correct distribution, thanks to scientific study, is the distribution of vital energy. We are entering the age of science, but it will be a science emerging from the impasse in which it now finds itself; having penetrated the sphere of the immaterial, it will work much more subjectively than it has so far. It recognizes the existence of higher senses — the continuations of the five physical senses — under the pressure of a mass of trustworthy people possessing them and 135 able to work and live in the material and immaterial worlds simultaneously. A lot of reliable evidence will be undeniable. At the moment when the existence of a subjective world of causes is proved (thanks to the indisputable evidence of the highest feelings of man), science will enter a new era: the focus of its attention will shift, the possibilities of research will be limitless, and materialism (in the current sense of the word) will disappear. The very word materialism will be out of use, and people of the future will be surprised at the limitations of our modern world and amazed at our way of thinking and feeling.

It is to be understood that the influences of the five Rays, which we know are acting or are beginning to act on humanity today (the First, Second, Third, Sixth and Seventh Rays), vary according to the ray type or ray quality of the individual, as well as his position on the ladder of evolution. This is often forgotten. For example, if a person is on the Second Ray of Love-Wisdom, then we can expect that the influence of this Ray, as well as the influence of the Sixth (acting in the power of the Second Ray), will cause the strongest response from him, which will be the line of least resistance for him. This situation can lead to excessive sensitivity and unbalanced disclosure of the characteristic properties of a person. It is the latter that influence our behavior and determine our reactions to circumstances. In such a case, the influences of the First, Third and Seventh Rays will drive a person out of himself and cause resistance, or - in the worst case - a person will become immune to them. In today's world, the influence of the Rays acting on the energy of the First Ray of Will or Power (i.e., the First, Third, and Seventh) refers to the influence of the others as three to two (in our time), and 136] therefore it can be expected that the attributes of the First Ray and the events characteristic of its influence will manifest more fully than would otherwise be the case. This is also facilitated by the fact that the Sixth Ray quickly comes out of manifestation. All of the above is not important yet. The latter will begin to open up over time.

The human kingdom

Influences:

The manifestation of this kingdom is especially actively promoted by two Rays of divine energy:

1. The Fourth Ray of Harmony, Beauty, and Unity Reached Through Conflict. 2. The fifth ray of concrete knowledge, or the ability to know.

Humanity is ruled by the Fourth Ray. Here we see the numerical ratio, for both the Fourth Creative Hierarchy of human monads and the Fourth Ray, in our fourth circle, on the fourth globe, the Earth, are extremely active. Their close relationship and interaction have brought humanity to the fore. In other circles, human evolution was neither dominant nor essential. In the current circle, this is exactly what it is. In the next circle, the evolution of souls on the astral level and the kingdom of the Devas will dominate. Symbolically, humanity is now walking the Earth in the light of day, and both Rays are responsible for the process of dedicating human evolution to this major cycle. We have to harmonize the higher and the lower aspects, or principles, both in the individual and in general. This implies conflict and struggle, but ultimately leads to beauty, creativity in art and synthesis. Such a result would not have been possible without the powerful influence of the Fifth Ray of Concrete Knowledge, which, together with the Fourth Ray, created that reflection of the divine which is called man.

The subjective part of the human being is a fusion of thinly synthesized life, power, harmonious intention, and mental activity. Please note the following theses, as they have a deep psychological significance:

Thanks to his active work, the Fourth Ray eventually opens a person’s intuition, and the Fifth develops his intellect. Again we see the great gift of the synthesis of man and his prerogative of unification, for, as already mentioned, he combines the qualities of the three kingdoms of nature: his own, as well as the one preceding and the one following him.

1. The Kingdom of Souls ........................ Intuition. 2. The human kingdom... Intellect. 3. The Animal Kingdom ....... Instinct.

This is his problem and at the same time his glory. It can also be argued that the combination of positive intuition and negative instinct generates intelligence, as a person repeats the great creative process taking place in the universe. This is the inner creative side of consciousness, and the outer is expressed in the creation of forms.

Process:

For humanity, through the presence in the human physical form of a thinking entity called the Soul, the process of establishing conscious control consists in adaptation. In the three lower pre-human kingdoms, all forms are also forced to adapt, but this is a group adaptation to the environment, whereas in humanity the individual adapts to his environment. Cases when someone consciously and with understanding tries to adapt to the situation and conditions in which he finds himself are relatively rare. Conscious adaptation to circumstances is the result of evolutionary development. Below are the stages of developing this ability.

1. Unconscious adaptation to one’s environment at the level of an animal almost devoid of intelligence. Such are the savages and many peasants engaged exclusively in rural work who have not received a modern education. This stage is not much higher than the animal stage and is entirely controlled by instinct.

2. An unconscious adaptation to one’s environment is a person who begins to feel faint glimpses of mental perception. This is partly instinctive and is based on growing self-love. There is more consciousness of the self in a person and much less group instinctive awareness. Such increasing self-awareness is observed in undeveloped slum dwellers, for example, and in small criminals, who are instinctive and intelligent enough to provide dubious income with quick reaction and dexterity of hands. This is the stage of animal cunning.

3. Conscious, purely egoistic adaptation to circumstances. In this case, the person is fully aware of and ponders his motives and does "the best that is possible in his circumstances." He forces himself to live as harmoniously as possible with his surroundings. Of course, there is a good motive in this, but in principle a person proceeds from the desire for comfort - physical, emotional and mental - to such an extent that, thanks to self-discipline, he is able to live in any environment and get along with anyone.

4. From this stage onward, the variations are so numerous that it is very difficult to list everything. It is a mixture of pure selfishness (often increasing to n-th degree), increasing recognition of the group, awakening understanding of the rights of others to the same degree of comfort and harmony and constant restructuring.

5. The average, really good person who, trying to adapt to his environment, group relationships and his duties, tries to show a certain measure of love. Not the instinctive love for family, children and herd that is inherent in animals and often evaporates when loved ones claim their rights. Here the connection is not strong enough, and the motive is too selfish to overcome the tension. I mean that motivated love that recognizes the rights of others and consciously tries to adapt to these recognized rights, at the same time stubbornly defending the rights of the individual.

6. The work of adaptation carried out by those who seek peace, who are theoretically convinced of their group relationships, of their paramount importance and of the need to maximize the development of the abilities of each individual, so that she can provide real assistance to the group and adequately meet its needs. In real esotericism there is no such requirement as "killing the personality", when as a result of discipline it becomes lifeless and miserable. The true requirement is to cultivate the lower triple nature, to create an integrated personality capable of manifesting its abilities, potential or developing, to put them at the service of the group and integrate the personality of the aspirant into it. This will enrich the group life, strengthen the group itself and expand the group consciousness.

And what is happening today in the life of the present aspirant (his growing awareness of group responsibility) occurs in groups, organizations and entire peoples. This explains many experiments. Large and small are engaged in housecleaning, throwing away obsolete, outdated ideas, discipline and preparation, which are necessary before any real group life. When this process is completed, we will see the convergence of these groups in a new real spirit of cooperation, religious unity and a truly new international understanding. And then for the benefit of the whole, they will offer something more valuable. In all such groups of so-called "sixth stage adaptation", striving for new achievements and integration, there are those who have already moved to the seventh stage.

7. They adapt completely unselfishly to group needs and goals. Those who have reached this evolutionary level no longer focus on their own lives. The focus of their mental attention became the soul and the world of souls. Personality is completely outside the scope of attention and is in its center only when it is necessary to return it to the goals of the group or soul. The ministers who display the radiance and pull of the soul are those who know the Plan, and in each organization they constitute a new gradually growing group of World Servers. These are the ones who will save the world.

8. The last group on this scale of adaptability are the highest initiates, the perfect Elder Brothers, and the Great Companions. They are perfectly adapted to their personalities, to each other and to world conditions, but as a group, they learn to adapt the forces of nature, the energy of the rays and the potential of the signs of the zodiac to the needs and needs of the world almost at any time. Here, as an experimental field, the work of the world’s students and the aspiring of the highest type is useful, and it is in the new group of World Servers that the Elder Brothers lead this process of adaptation. Remember that this process, occurring in consciousness, produces (certainly and inevitably) the corresponding changes in the mechanism, structure and sensory perception of the body apparatus. I do not touch these

changes in the treatise, as they are successfully investigated by modern science, which is steadily moving in the right direction. I speak of consciousness as a predisposing factor and of a developed sense of awareness that gives rise to an inner demand for better equipment. Improving equipment in response to the demand of consciousness is what has been the secret of the evolutionary impulse for centuries. This inner requirement of the person awakens the centers, and the awakening of the centers causes a response of the endocrine system, affects the work of the triple nervous system and blood circulation. Thus, one can always judge the evolutionary level of an inner subjective, spiritual person by its external form or mechanism.

Mystery:

In esotericism, it is called the "secret transition." In order to discover the general concept behind these words, the average student must know that the secret transmission can be used only by truly understanding the towering power of aspiration. One must reject the erroneous and foolish idea of aspiration as a purely emotional state. That's not true. It is a scientific process that guides evolution itself. If you do not limit your aspiration and follow it correctly, it becomes the primary means of “ascending to heaven” the material aspect, or the whole personality. Prolonged aspiration accompanied by correct action will have three consequences: 1. Stimulation of the higher atoms of three bodies. 2. The emission of those atomic substances which, when

Occultly bind the aspirant to the earth.

3. Increasing the magnetic attraction of higher atoms attracting high vibration atoms that will replace low vibration atoms. Here I want to make a reservation in order to eliminate the almost universal misconception. The necessary atoms with high vibration are attracted to the body or bodies of a person by the general attraction of existing atoms, and not by the will of the soul alone, which participates in this only by its influence on the available and reacting higher atoms. Aspiration is a scientific occult activity that instinctively flows in the substance itself. In training groups, this should be emphasized.

In connection with the phenomenon of aspiration, it is interesting to note that levitation, which today often attracts interest and becomes the subject of mental research, depends on a special leveling of the individual through aspiration and volitional act. It assumes the presence in three bodies of a certain percentage of atoms with the corresponding vibration and lightness.

The secret of transition lies at the base of the caste system, and caste is a symbol of transition. Eventually, souls go from caste to caste, “transferring” their bodies. The key to understanding the transition is the fact that no single body is ever involved in any transition, that no “going forward and up” to another dimension, another state of consciousness, and another “caste” is possible before alignment between (for example):

a. Physical and emotional body. b. Both of them and the mental body. Three of them and a soul. There are four of them and a group of World Servers.

These four alignments are esoterically consistent with the external caste system, which is their profane symbol. Think about it, for the caste system dominates the world. Only after the correct implementation of the third alignment, when the light of the fourth eclipses the internal light of the first three, the problem of human evolution can be considered solved. This brings us to the next point.

Purpose:

This goal is the Transfiguration, which constitutes the esoteric task set before humanity. This tremendous achievement in our own body has demonstrated to mankind the greatest of all the sons of God, whom I and all true disciples consider to be the Master of all Masters, Christ.1 What to say about this culminating event, which awaits the whole human person? This is the third great initiation, marking a turning point in the devotional work and further synthesis in the life of a spiritual person. Before him, man was in the process of merging soul and body into a single whole. After the third initiation (and as a result of a certain event), a person prepares himself and proceeds to the next fusion in consciousness - the fusion of the spirit-soul-body. I am talking specifically about fusion in consciousness, because unity has always existed, and man in the course of evolution begins to really realize what already exists.

Units:

1. Racial divisions. They can be understood in two ways: a. From the point of view of modern esoteric science. b. From the point of view of the Secret Doctrine, which divides the human race into seven large groups and forty-nine divisions.

2. The division of mankind into seven main radiation types, which can be listed as follows:

action and possession of manipulative energy.

a. Type of power . . . will and ability to govern. b. Type of love ......... love and fusion ability. v. type of activity. Art type ... a sense of beauty and creative aspiration. d. Scientific type of understanding of causes and effects. Mathematically, i.e. Type of devotion ...... idealism. Business type . . . organizational ability. Predisposition to ritual ceremonies.

3. Twelve astrological groups. They're in the Rays and Zodiac section, so we're not going to touch them here. 4. The division of human beings into three esoteric groups:

a. Those who have not awakened to consciousness of the self. Their esoteric name is “darkened sparks”. b. Those who have awakened to a state of individuality. They are called “flickering lamps”. c. Those who have awakened to knowledge of the soul. They are called “radiant sons of light”.

5. The division of people into three types of aspiration:

a. Those whom the directing Hierarchy follows from afar. b. Those who are awakened by Hierarchy and reach out to it. Those who, from the point of view of personality, belong to the world of forces, but are awakened souls, whose consciousness is integrated into the consciousness of the Hierarchy. They form a new group of World Servers.

In the last three groups it is possible to include the Hierarchy itself.

In general, the table shows how esoteric psychology divides humanity. A careful look at this table will allow you to notice its all-encompassing nature. I recommend that modern psychologists study it.

Objective Agent:

For a human being whose senses (progressively developed in the lower realms) are already functioning, the external agent of growth is the world of experience, the tangible world of the physical plane. This is his adequate field of revelation, where man dwells in the flesh. In the process of developing group consciousness, he receives the many contacts that he needs to awaken his response to the environment. This environment itself is part of the life and expression of the Divine, and thanks to it, a person learns some aspects of the manifestation of God. Applying his five senses and mastering the earth, air, fire and water, he gets everything that is available to him, and works in the external world of everyday life, with him and through him.

Subjective agent:

It is the mind as an organ of reason, as an instrument of synthesis or common sense, and as a means of revealing truly human consciousness. With the help of the mind, a person learns to protect himself, defend his interests and maintain his individuality. Thanks to the mind, he begins to distinguish and gradually cultivate value orientations, which allows him to eventually shift the focus of attention from the material and physical to the ideal and spiritual.

Quality:

It is a development in the human realm of sattva, or rhythm. This is a truly harmonious response to vibration, leading to the integration of the unit into the whole and that “understanding” that allows a person to remove all barriers from his consciousness and give (simple and natural) rhythmic and maximum response to all states and degrees of awareness. Always remember that the secret of the quality of humanity (if one can use such a clumsy turn) lies in the ability of human consciousness to identify with all other forms of consciousness and awareness, with all forms of unconscious and instinctive response and with all forms of superconscious or divine sense of being. Ultimately, this is achieved by the will.

This type of force is primarily associated with planetary stimulation, with planetary Logos, and is hidden in their cyclic karma, which, of course, simultaneously affects those monads and those devas that form their bodies and centers. 38. The exoteric non-sacred planets... are occultly called the outer circle of the initiates, or simply the "outer circle." One of them is our Earth, but since it is peculiarly aligned with some spheres (or planets) of the inner circle, humanity has two favorable opportunities that are similar to the Earth.

facilitates and complicates its evolutionary process. The sacred planets are sometimes called the "seven degrees of psychic knowledge" or the "seven divisions of the field of knowledge" (T. K. O., pp. 1175]).

The following Table II, p. 455 of Volume III of the Secret Doctrine, leads to certain reflections, notwithstanding its esoteric character and the fact that it is deliberately misleading, as it is intermixed with the sacred and unsacred planets, and some are omitted altogether:

Such “veils” are often necessary in occult teachings, but they will be used less frequently as humanity’s spiritual receptivity grows. The seven great psychic Lives, characterised by seven types of life force, manifest through seven planets. Five other lives express themselves through five other planets, two of which have not yet been discovered.

This is an exoteric division.

The Kingdom of Nature and the Planet. In this cycle:

1. Mineral Kingdom - Pluto and Vulcan 2. The Plant Kingdom: Venus and Jupiter 3. Animal Kingdom: Moon and Mars 4. The Human Kingdom: Mercury and Saturn 5. The Kingdom of Souls: Neptune and Uranus 6. Synthesis of all five - the Sun.

Each of the seven sacred planets (to which the Earth does not belong) is an expression of one of the seven ray influences. These seven planets can be listed as follows, giving precise indications of the rays acting through them, while the student must remember three things:

1. That each planet is the embodiment of a particular Life, or

Entities;

2. That, like a human being, every planet is an expression

two radiant forces: personal and egoic;

3. That for this reason the two Rays of each planet are in esoteric

Conflict.

It should also be noted that until the mystery of the constellation Ursa Major is revealed, the influence of the Pleiades is not comprehended and the true meaning of the cosmic triangle formed by (a) the Rishi Family of the Ursa Major, (b) the Planetary Logos of our Solar System, and (c) the Pleiades Family, or Sisters, is revealed.

The purpose and function of the seven sacred planets will remain unknown. This cosmic triangle contains many smaller ones. Each of the seven Rishis can form additional triangles with one of our planetary Logos and with one of the Sisters. Possible combinations are complex and numerous.

Note: Occult literature contains many enumerations of planets, many of which are mere "veils," with sacred and unsacred planets deliberately mixing in them. Tibetan books contain many such lists. For example, two of them are listed above. These include the following:

The Seven Sisters - Pleiades

In the second solar system, in connection with the method that is used in it, another point deserves attention. The source of the fire of the mind is the constellation, of which exoteric science has hitherto maintained that it has not the slightest inner connection with our solar system, owing to its extreme distance. The Sun Sirius is the source of the Sun Logos Manas in the same sense in which the Pleiades are related to the evolution of the Manas in the seven Heavens.

Men, while Venus was responsible for the emergence of mind in the Earth Chain. Each was primary in relation to the other—that is, it was the agent that caused the first glimmer of consciousness in the particular groups affected. In each case, the method consisted of slow evolutionary growth until, after power was introduced from an apparently external source, consciousness suddenly flared into being.

Volcano (1) - School of Fire Stones. There is a curious connection between the human units passing through its halls and the mineral kingdom. The human units of the Earth scheme are mystically called "living stones"; on Vulcan, they are called "fire stones".

Jupiter (2) - School of Beneficial Magicians. This planet is sometimes called, in the language of schools, the "College of Quadruple Power Units", as its members possess four kinds of power in constructive magical work. Another name for its halls is "Palace of Abundance", as its graduates work with the Law of Securing and are often referred to as "Sowers".

Mercury (4) - Students of this planetary school are called "Sons of Aspiration" or "Points of Yellow Light". They are closely related to our Earth scheme. The name of the school is not reported.

Venus (5) - School of five clear Degrees. This planetary scheme is again closely related to ours, but its Planetary Logos is in a more advanced group of cosmic students than our Planetary Logos. Most of her hierarchical mentors came from the fifth space plan.

Mars (6) - School for Warriors, or open classes for soldiers. Four of these planetary schools are responsible for the energy flowing through the outstanding representatives of the four castes - not only in India, but in all parts of the world. The teachers of this school are referred to as “Red Fire Graduates” dressed in red robes. They work under the influence of the first logical aspect and train those whose work is on the destructive line.

THE SEVEN WAYS

As might be expected, little has appeared in our literature regarding the seven Paths extending to the person who has attained the Fifth Initiation. Obviously, it is impossible, and no need to give our mind any impression about the meaning of these Ways or the qualities necessary for their passage. In time, when the race reaches a higher point of development, we will be able to perceive more, but according to the Law of Economy, it would be a waste of effort for race instructors to inform us of the characteristics necessary for the passage of the seven Paths, until we have learned and developed what is necessary to overcome the Path of Trial, not to mention the Path of Initiation.

One common fact we know, namely, that before these Paths can be laid down, man must become a Master of Wisdom, must become a Brother.

Compassion must be able, with intelligence and love, to govern by law. At present, our task is to prepare ourselves for the path of initiation through the discipline of the Path of Trial, through the careful management of our lives, through obedience to the Law as we understand it, and through service to the race. And when we reach liberation, these Paths will turn before us, and we will see the one that we have to walk on. Everything in our system is subject to the great Law of Attraction, so our choices are likely to be determined by our vibration, our color, and our tone. The free will of the Cosmic System is limited, as is the free will of the system of which we are a part, and as is the free will of man himself. The direction of our further progress will depend on the inherent quality.

These seven ways can be listed as follows, and also some conclusions can be drawn on the basis of the Law of Correspondence, always remembering that words are more hidden than explained, and that it is not yet possible to go into details.

1. The way of serving the earth. This Path connects man with the Hierarchy, which has vowed to serve our planet and help its evolution. There are those who work under the guidance of the Lord of the World in the seven groups into which our Masters of Wisdom are divided. There are not so many Teachers on this Path as on some others; There are as many of them as are necessary for the satisfactory development of planetary evolution. More is known about this Path than about others, and more will be learned when representatives of our humanity prepare themselves for communion with the Brotherhood. The field of activity of the Masters of Wisdom, their methods of work, will eventually become exoteric knowledge, and when the existence of these seven groups is known and recognized, the logical consequence will be the emergence of schools of development to fill positions in these groups.

2. The path of magnetic work. On this Path come those who do the work of controlling the forces, or electrical magnetism, to help the Great on all planes. They control elemental formative energy by manipulating matter of any density and vibration. They govern great waves of ideas and raging streams of public opinion at the astral levels, as well as at the higher ones where the Great Ones work. A large number of Fifth Ray people, those whose Monadic Ray is the Ray of Concrete Knowledge, act in this direction of aspiration. Usually, the inherent quality of a monad determines the direction of its activity. Fifth ray karma is one of the factors responsible for this. These monads work with Fohat and must work in this way until the end of the greater Manvantara. Their ultimate location is on the cosmic mental plane, but since the capacity for abstract thinking is still very little developed, we are not able to understand the meaning of this expression.

3. Preparation for Planetary Logos. This Path is laid by those who will undertake the work of the seven Planetary Logoi of the next system and the forty-nine sub-planetary Logoi, their helpers, as well as some other Entities working in this department. There will be seven systems, although we are only interested in the three main systems, of which our current system is the second. Each Chohan of the Ray selects a certain number of initiates of the Sixth Initiation and prepares them specifically for this work. A special perception of color and sound determines this choice, and the ability to work with “psyche”, or evolving spirits, allows a person to occupy this high post. We can say that Planetary Logos are divine psychologists, so in preparation for this position psychology is the main subject, although this is a psychology that is still incomprehensible to us. Each Planetary Logo has a

To their planet schools for the development of the Logos who occupy a subordinate position in relation to Him, and there prepares them for this high position, giving them the opportunity to accumulate great experience. Even the Planetary Logos themselves are moving forward, and their places must be taken by others.

4. The Road to Sirius. Very little can be said about this path. One can only mention the extraordinarily close connection between him and the Pleiades, and further speculation is impossible. Most of the liberated humanity is on this path, which provides great opportunities. The seven stars of the Pleiades are the ultimate goal of the seven types of people, and a hint of this is in the Book of Job in the words: “Can you tie the knot of Him (Pleiad)?”2 In the mystery of this influence and in the mystery of the sun Sirius, the facts of our cosmic evolution and, consequently, of our solar system are hidden.

5. Path of the Rays. It is difficult to find another name for this Path, of which very little is known. By laying it down, man remains on his own Ray and works on it in different kingdoms on all planes, fulfilling the commands of the Lord of the World and acting under His guidance. This Path leads man to all places in the solar system, and yet definitely connects him with the Ray of Synthesis. This is a very difficult path, as it requires the ability to the most complex mathematics and skill in geometry, unfathomable to our three-dimensional brain. This Path is chosen by the person for whom the Law of Vibration is extremely important. Man first works in the council chamber of the Lord of Peace in Shambhala, manipulating the Law of Vibration on his own Ray. Later, his home becomes a planet corresponding to his own Ray, and not the Earth, unless he is on the Ray of the Planetary Logos ruling the Earth. Next, as he evolves, he passes over to the Sun; finally, having mastered everything that is connected with the vibration in our system, he goes into the Cosmic (which is only the System, passing from his own Ray by an additional Ray of Cosmic Ray) to the corresponding Cosmic Ray.

Since the evolution of man in our system is fivefold, we have listed five main Paths, one of which is chosen by the Teacher. The remaining two can be considered even more briefly, since very few of the developing sons of men enter them because of the high point of achievement necessary for this and because those who enter them leave the system at all. They do not lead to Sirius like some other Paths. Note that the four groups remain in the system in order to eventually, in the distant eons, move to space plans. One group goes directly to Sirius, and the other two immediately after initiation go to the cosmic plans, without a period of intermediate work on Earth, in the system or on Sirius. These two paths are as follows: 6. The path on which the Solar Logo is located. To all students of the occult and those who carefully consider world processes in the light of the Law of Correspondence, it will become evident that the Logos on the cosmic planes develops an inner cosmic vision, just as man, in his smaller stage, seeks to find the same vision in the system. This can be called the development of the cosmic third eye. There is a mystery in the physical structure of the eye, and in the study of this structure, revelation may come.

A certain part of the eye is the nucleus of vision and the apparatus of the vision itself; the rest acts as a safety shell. Both are necessary, neither can exist without the other. The same is true in the case of Logos. But the analogy here exists at such high levels that words only obscure, obscure the truth. Some sons of men are the nucleus which has reached a very high

The initiations in the previous solar system formed an esoteric group around the Logos when He decided on further progress. Driven by the cosmic desire for embodiment, He is the system. This esoteric group is with the Logos on the atomic or first plane of the system, on the subjective inner side, and corresponds, in the occult sense, to the pupil of the eye. The true home of these great Beings is on the cosmic buddhic plane.

Gradually, at the cost of hard work, some Masters have prepared or are preparing to take the places of the original members of the group, allowing them to return to the cosmic center around which our system and the more encompassing Sirius system revolve. Only individual adepts have the necessary qualifications for this, since it implies the development of a certain type of response to cosmic vibration. It means specialization in internal vision and a certain development of cosmic vision. More representatives of the deva of evolution enter this Path than of human beings. Human beings pass on to it through the deva evolution, which can be entered into by passing on the fifth Way, the Way of the Rays. On this fifth Path, both evolutions can merge, and from the fifth Path, one can move to the sixth.

7. The Path of Absolute Sonship. Sonship on the highest plane corresponds to that degree of discipleship which is called the “Son of the Master.” This is the Sonship of a Being higher than our Solar Logos, of a Being of whom we cannot speak. This is the great controlling path of Karma. The Lipika masters are on this Path, and all who are prepared for this work, who are close to the Logos in a personal intimate sense, enter the Path of Absolute Sonship. This is the way of those who are especially close to the Logos. He instructed them to work out karma in the solar system. They know His desires, His will, and His purpose, and He trusts them to carry out His instructions. This group, closely related to the Logos, forms a special group related to the even higher Logos.

STAGES FOR STUDENTS

Path

Do not try, O twice-Blessed One, to understand the spiritual essence, until the mind is silent. This is not how wisdom is sought. Only one who has restrained the mind and sees the world as a mirror can, without risking anything, be gifted with inner feeling. Only one who knows the illusory nature of the five senses and that nothing remains of them except the next two can penetrate the mystery of the next transference.

The way that the Servant walks is the path of fire that runs through his heart to his head. It is not through pleasure and pain that liberation is achieved and wisdom is gained. Only by transcending them, only by fusing pain and pleasure, can one achieve the goal, the goal that shines ahead, like a point of light in the darkness of a winter night. This point of light is like a tiny candle in the darkness of the attic, but as the path leading to it progresses through the merger of the poles of opposites, the radiance of this tiny point shimmering with cold light grows steadily until the wanderer’s mind is filled with the warm light of a bright lamp.

Go, O stranger, with unfailing persistence. It is not from the candle that the light shines, nor from the lamp of the earth that burns with oil. The radiance is constantly increasing, until the path ends in the brilliance of glory and the delusional in the night turns into a child of the sun and enters the portals of this dazzling sphere.

The Karma Cup

There is a cup that is kept by the mouth of those who drink, the four great Lords of Karma. All its contents up to the last drop will have to be drunk before it is filled with a drink cleaner and sweeter. And this hour of fulfillment awaits the Seven Lords of Cosmic Love.

The cup is nothing. Drop by drop, its contents flow out, but will not run out before the decisive hour when the Wanderer takes it. Behold, he takes it from the hands of those who lean down and bring it to his mouth. Until that day they held the cup, and the Wanderer drank from it with an inner blind alarm. But the hour has struck, he raises his head and sees the unfathomable light. He takes the cup and, radiating with joy, drains it to the bottom.

The drink in the cup changes, from bitter it becomes sweet. Fire essence disappears in cool life-giving streams. The fire that was taken before, burned, burned and dried up. Now the drink stops burning, heals wounds and saturates everything. Four of them, leaning, watching the work. They give away a cup of Karma, and the gentle Masters of Cosmic Love prepare another drink. When the cup is empty (empty of conscious will), they pour into it what is needed now for a richer and more encompassing life. Not being used, filled, drained and comprehended as nothing, the cup will not be able to hold securely what will be given later.

After drying the cup to the bottom, the Wanderer turns to the suffering world. With a cup in his hand (drinking and refilled, but no longer serving egoism), he pays attention to the needs of struggling people who are walking along the path with him. He does not drink the very drink of love, holy fire, cool health drink, but extends it to others. On the path of a weary man, he becomes the Lord of Power, a power acquired through work performed, a power achieved by conscious will. After drinking a cup of Karma, he gets the right to serve.

Look, O Wanderer, at the target. Behold the radiance of glory far ahead, a light that nothing can eclipse. Grab a cup and drink quickly, not paying attention to the pain. An empty cup, a firm hand, a resolute and unshakable desire lead to a short-term agony, behind which a luminous life opens up.

The Attention Stranger

Hear, O Wanderer, as the Word of the great Virgin Lords is spoken. Silence all earthly vibrations, calm the restless rushes of the lower mind and catch those sounds that rise to the throne of the Logos with intense hearing. Only the pure in heart will hear them, and only the meek will respond.

The stormy rumble of the earth's struggle, the piercing vibration of the water sphere, the roar rushing from the place of thought, drown out the sound and do not allow its tone to be heard. He who is silent, impassive, and inwardly calm, who sees everything through divine light, and does not follow the light reflected in the three spheres, will soon hear. Healing

The purple center, surrounded by yellow, imperceptibly turns red. Yellow grows and protects. He's enveloping the core. When you get into the meaning of purple, the laws of health and magnetic relief are no longer sealed to you. The devas of the shadows break the seal, the yellow approaches the purple, and the red becomes larger. The lines are closing, and we can cooperate. When the seal is opened, the gate is opened. The Hidden Portal

In the middle of the dry desert, a giant fire cone is visible. Before the cone in indecision there is a person. The cone rises between a person and a fertile land.

The cone rises above the dried wasteland. Nothing is felt but his heat, and nothing is seen but his blinding brilliance. His flames swept through the country, leaving a bare desert. He throws out a fire that devours everything in front of him. The Lord of the Flame guards an invisible, unknown door there. Deep in the yellow core, hidden by the outer face, is the key to the mystery. On the threshold of this inner door, on an invisible stage to reach, the legs plunge into the fringe of the flame. Stretch out your hand and, touching the door with pure intent, knock three times. Your call will be answered by a voice: "Who is here looking for a way?"

Key

The first key is hidden under the Threshold under the Guardian's guard. Breaking inside, you need to bend down and take it after a tense search for a solution. The hand holding the key should have a nail mark in the center, and if so, the first door will open. The second key lies on the Threshold on the heap of thorns. From the center of your feet must flow blood that dissolves all obstacles. In the feet of blood-red and nails-punched hands lies a secret. Try to have such feet and hands. Then you will open the second door with your touch.

The third key is halfway up and is visible exactly at the heart level. To take it and use it, you must pierce the spear and blood must flow, cleansing and giving fullness. Only those who are thus purified can take possession of the key and pass through the third door.

Cross

There is light in the cross. Vertical and horizontal create mutual friction, the vibrating Cross sparks, and movement arises. When the vertical absorbs the horizontal, pralaya comes. Evolution is the movement of the horizontal towards upward positivity. In the secret of direction lies hidden wisdom; in the doctrine of absorption lies the ability to heal; in the transformation of a point into a line and a line into a cross lies evolution. In the conversion of the cross into the horizontal lies the salvation and peace of pralaya.

Cup

The bottom cup rises like a dark, or gloomy, flower. She is joyless

It seems from the outside, but inside it sometimes lights up, dispelling the illusion.

The second cup rises from the lower shell, like a flower from a green cup. This bowl is pink with many shadows, and from the side it seems that its color eclipses the light shining inside it. But this is just an illusion that time itself will dispel.

Everything is crowned with a third cup, which over time widely spreads its petals. It appears blue and merges with pink, at first forming a dark impenetrable shadow that covers the light.

Inside the three bowls, hidden in the depths of the heart, shines divine light, at first tiny, but constantly inflaming. By radiating heat and its inherent divine vibration, it creates a rainbow shell for itself. From his triple bowl, he protrudes like a bubble of air down on a flower.

Under the iris, the inner flame burns, burning the rough lower material. As you approach the path, the light becomes brighter. Out of the dense dark bowl that forms the base, the light of heaven breaks through, and finally everyone who sees the radiance exclaims inwardly, "Behold, God is here."

From the rose-red bowl, the inner glow breaks through, and soon the redness of the earthly desire turns into the glow of the heavenly fire and everything is lost, except the aspiration that does not darken the bowl with karmic color.

From the blue bowl shines the inner divine light, until all forms burn and disappear. There is nothing left but divine abstraction. Only the shells are left at the bottom, only the forms to use, and what is the strange event that occurs at the moment of the culmination? Stay, O Wanderer, before a strange occurrence, bow your head and watch the movement of fire. The triple cup gradually turns into an altar, and from this triple altar fire rises to its Source. When the inner flame rises and spreads, the beauty of the central sphere covered with white radiance strikes the worlds, causing them to exclaim: “Behold, God is here.”

Flames rise continually higher, spreading heat until at the appointed hour everything is destroyed by the flame and disappears, and the age-old work instantly turns into nothing.

But out of the fourfold fire, from the altar of ages comes the Liberated, the Flame. The double flame returns to the fire of space. The entity dissolves into the Three, connecting with its Source. The spark turns into a flame, and the flame into fire and pours into the radiant cosmic splendor, which hides the secret of the Five in the heart.

The Fire Mantra

The point of light in the shining rainbow, O Wanderer on the Path, increases and decreases as the more or less stubborn effort reveals the goal in the heart.

Invisible and invisible, this point is always there. It is a dark and heartless night, and the heart of the unenlightened Wanderer is hard. SEVEN ESOTERIC STANCES3

STANCE I (From Archaic Formulae No. 49)

Path I. The Way of Service to Earth

The dragon that hides in the lowest of the Sacred Three, rises in His power. In His mouth is a balance, on which He weighs the children of men, pierced on the battlefield with His spear.

One cup of the great scales upon which His gaze is concentrated is hidden in the

The fire is green; the other is covered with a red veil.

Those sons of men, whose note does not respond to the note of red, enter the cup from the right side. From there, they move onto a path that is dimly seen behind the shape of a dragon.

They enter through the four-door. The sacred phrases of the Sons of Light define it thus: "The luminous gates leading from the green to the heart of the indigo through the rare fire and richly colored radiance for which there is no name on earth yet." The tone is hidden.

These sons of men (and their number is small) enter this door of shining fire, when they climb the golden crest, towering on the head of the dragon above the point where the "eye of fire" sparkles.

The eye of fire transmits a strong vibration from the trinity of Lha to the center located in the head of the Adept. When the center is awakened, the Life that is is revealed, the form that will be, and the combined work of two and four.

These two come together. Their essence is combined. Then the man who is looking for a way pierces with a spear and throws himself into the fiery light that hides the scales. There is a mystical process, and... This is how the work of SATURN is revealed and the completion is achieved.

By the fateful power of Saturn, the winner is quickly transferred to the top of the crest, and from there to that vibrating disc that guards the four-light door.

The three words are then entrusted to the Liberated. As he celebrates, he stands on a fast-moving disk, and when their sound... it becomes clear that the door is opened and because of it a voice is heard saying "Son of Compassion, Teacher of Love and Life, the wheel is always spinning for those who fight on a fiery firmament at the feet of the dragon." The First Word begins its mission. The winner raises his head and tries to say the second word. But when He utters it, He stops halfway its vast vibration and re-absorbs its power into His heart.

The disk movement slows down. The gates of fire are wide open. Visible form. To the Fire Heart Teacher, this form displays three jewels. Their names are hidden for those sons of men who have not yet reached the crest of the dragon.

These three jewels give the Fire Heart Teacher a part of the triple

forces that circulate in the sphere of the planet.

The Master's gaze is fixed, and His heart is animated by burning love; He does not utter the last word. He comes down from the disc, turns His Lotus Feet back to the Path He left before, and climbs the dragon's crest again on the other side. Being a dragon himself, He now identifies Himself with those who seek to meet this beast. And so He serves, turning his back on the door of light. He is a descendant of the Dragon and serves His time.

Unknowable and invisible to Him, a larger disk is discovered, constantly rotating. He does not see his movement, for his eyes are turned to the world in which he has returned to serve. The disk rotates and reveals, before His still-unseeing eye, a door that is even bigger and wider. His eye of vision opens... He is paving the first great way, though he does not yet know it.

The note coming from this first great path is not yet heard by Him. Her sound

is lost in the rising cry of the children of the lesser dragon.

STANCE XVII (From Archaic Formulae No. 49)

Path II. The Way of Magnetic Work

The cosmic burning solid of the living fire is in the lowest part of the western sky. Its smoke rises to that high place where the Sacred Lhas dwell, by which the threefold Unity of our solar space offers its offerings and allegiance. The sweet, spicy fragrance and faint aroma of the hot ... reaches the extreme limits of the star vault.

Two rise and carry the essential Flame through His burning firmament,

Mixing your smaller smoke with the larger.

This smoke forms the Way, reaching into the spheres within the radiant form of that Attractive Life, which the sons of being and the sons of men in all their many ranks offer their prayers and offer their life and thanksgiving.

The teacher in this realm, which is known as the fourth and not sacred, sees the fiery path; He responds to his heat and seeks to warm himself in his waves of radiating electric fire.

The center at the midpoint inside Kumara's great body forms a funerary bonfire. It pulses and sparkles. He becomes a sea of living fire and involves what belongs to him. The smoke emanating from this fiery wheel forms a living Path that conceals the steps ahead.

The teacher - with the middle wheel in the fire - enters the smoke, enters blindly. He sees nothing ahead. He does not hear a single voice. He doesn't feel the leading hand. Only the fifth, known by the latter, helps Him to make his way forward to the touch and directly pass through the hiding smoke clouds; only the awakening of His wheel can indicate His progress through the new magnetic field.

Only the sons of the . . . are led inward; only the sons with the gleaming fire coming out of the midpoint can enter. They turn their beams forward to illuminate the path. An adept of the funeral pyre, the Teacher of the glittering sphere burns Himself. By sacrificing Himself to Him who is the newly created Trinity Word, the sacred OM, the fire of God, He passes the burning solid and shines for those who watch like a radiating flaming sun.

He leads people forward, to their goal, warming their hearts, generating

A double fire, leading everyone to the gates of the sun, and from there to ... (LIGHTS). The mystical Word is hidden by four letters: E, M, A, O. The value of their numbers and the application of their colors smoke dissipates.

STANCE XXXIX (From Archaic Formulae No. 49)

Path III. Preparation of Planetary Logos

Shiva's eye opens wide, and those in his field of vision awaken to another form of sleep. They sleep, but still see and hear. Their eyes are closed, but nothing that happens in the great cosmic Seven is missed by them. They see, and yet they do not see; they hear, and yet their ears are deaf.

Three times Shiva's eye is closed and three times it is wide open. So three.

The great groups of the Lords of the Lotus are encouraged to enter their path.

One group is called the "Lords of the Lotus of deep invisibility sleep." They sleep, and as their dreams take shape, the worlds accelerate. The great and violent Maya of the plans of the sweet illusion comes into existence and draws points of separated light into its trap, obscuring their brilliance. This is how work is done...

The eye through which these Lotus Lords come into contact with the plans

Space vision, turned inward. They don’t see what’s on the outside.

The name of the second group is "Lords of the Inner Lotus". They are the ones who sleep, but not so deeply. They are awake enough to beware of wandering beyond the secret ring-no-crime framing the great Illusion. They stand firm, and their very firmness of form hold together.

The eye through which these Lords of the Lotus look at the great Illusion is turned upwards. They see nothing but what is right above them. They look at that huge mountain peak that pierces the limiting wheel. This mountain

The sky is shining with radiant light, reflected from the face of Him whom the Lords of the worlds of our solar sphere have never seen.

The third group is strange and mysterious. It is threefold and its name cannot yet be heard in those planetary spheres whose color is not yet combined with blue in due proportion.

The eye through which these Lords of the Lotus gaze upon the cosmic Path is turned outward. Its shade is indigo. The eye through which the middle group of the Lords of Lotus looks is turquoise-blue, and the eye of the Lords of immovable, invisible sleep is sapphire-blue. This is the only way to triple blue.

The last aspect of Shiva's eye directs the other two and gathers all its energy from the outermost cosmic realm. The two respond, and as they pass through the cosmic WAY, they weave a triple force into that path that meets the needs of those who will seek it afterwards.

They see, they hear, they dream, they build. Their eyes are blind, their ears are deaf, but their mouths sound. They publish special cosmic Words, weave seven with twelve, and multiply five.

This is how planets are built; this is how they are led, managed, and known.

STANCE LXXVII (From Archaic Formulae No. 49)

Path IV. The Road to Sirius

The mysterious Lhasa of the sacred hidden fire withdraw their thought, come out of meditation and everything that is between the first and third is lost sight of. There's nothing. The sound is dying. Words are lost because there is no one to listen to. The colors fade and each point fades.

The ocean is quiet. The mother sleeps, forgetting her son. The father is removed in

unknown, where the fire is hidden.

The snake is outstretched and silent. Its rings put out the lower fire and extinguish the sparks... Silence reigns. Detachable Lhasa forget about worlds and play other games... Everything turns into nothing. And yet, Lha herself remains.

The mysterious five-force Lhasas unite their thoughts, immerse themselves in deep meditation and connect the first and third. Worlds arise, and - rapidly dressed in prepared forms - follow their cycles.
