The following figures are taken from the calendar just mentioned

The following figures are taken from the calendar just mentioned: the note indicates points of divergence from the figures of the Aria-Samaj school:

I. From the beginning of Cosmic Evolution to the Hindu year of Taran or (1887)

1,955,884,687 years.

II. (Astral) mineral, vegetable and animal kingdom before Man demanded for their development

300,000,000 years.

III. Time from the first appearance of Humanity (on our Planetary Chain)

1,664,500,987 years.

IV. Number of years elapsed from Manvantara Vaivasvata - or Humane The period up to 1887 is calculated exactly in

18,618,728 years.

V. The Complete Period of One Manvantara

308,448,000 years.

VI. Fourteen Manvantaras plus the period of one Satya Yuga is one day of Brahma or full Manvantaras, or

4,320,000,000 years.

The Maha-Yuga consists of

4,320,000 years.

Between the year 1887 and the beginning of Kali Yuga leaked

4,989 years.

For more clarity in detail, the following calculations by Rao Bahadur P. Srinivas Rowe is cited here from "Theosophist" for November, 1885.

Years of death.

360 days of mortals are one year

1.

Crete South

1,728,000. years.

The Third South

1,296,000. years.

Dvapara Yuga

864,000. years.

Kali Yuga

432,000. years.

The four Souths are all Maha-Souths.

4,320,000. years.

Seventy-one such Maha-Yugs constitute the reign of one Manu.

306,720,000. years.

The reign of the fourteen Manu covers the duration of 994 Maha-South, which is equal to

4,294,080,000. years.

Add Sandhis, i.e., the intervals between the reigns of each Manu, which will correspond to the six Maha Yugas equal to

25,920,000. years.

The result of these reigns and interregnums of the Fourteen Manu is 1,000 Maha Yugam, which is Kalpa, i.e. one Day of Brahma.

4,320,000,000. years.

Since the Night of Brahma is of the same duration, one day and night of Brahma will contain

8,640,000,000. years.

360 such days and nights constitute one Year of Brahma, equal to

3,110,400,000,000. years.

100 such years constitute the full period of the Age of Brahma, i.e., Maha-Kalpa

311,040,000,000,000. years.

These are the exoteric figures accepted throughout India, and they correspond fairly closely to the figures of the Hidden Teachings. The latter, moreover, supplement them by a division into several Esoteric Cycles, never mentioned in the publicly available Brahminic writings - one of which, namely the division of the South into Race Cycles, is given as an example elsewhere. The rest, of course, have never been published in their details.

At present, several more facts can be added to the information already known to every orientalist. The Secret of Cycle 4320 With the additional zeros lies the fact that the numbers composing it, taken separately or combined in different combinations, are, all without exception, symbols of the greatest mysteries of Nature. Are we really going to separate 4 or 3, As such, or both 7, Or all three together 4, 3, 2, Govt 9, but all these numbers have their application in the most secret occult questions and record the work of Nature in its eternally periodic manifestations. These numbers are always accurate, constantly repeated and reveal to the one who studies the mysteries of Nature, the truly divine System, the intelligent Plan in Cosmogony, expressed in the natural cosmic divisions of time and seasons, in invisible influences, in astronomical phenomena with their influences and reactions to earthly and even moral nature; to birth, death, growth, health and disease. All these natural events are based on and depend on cyclical processes in the Cosmos itself and produce periodic intermediaries that, acting from the outside, affect the Earth and everything that lives and breathes on it from the beginning to the end of each Manvantara. The causes and effects are esoteric, exoteric, and "endexoteric," so to speak.

In Isis Unveiled, we wrote what we are repeating now: “We are at the lowest point of the Cycle and obviously in a state of transition.” Plato divides the mental progress of the universe, during each cycle, into fertile and barren periods. In the sublunar regions, the spheres of the various elements remain eternally in perfect harmony with the Divine Nature, he says: "but parts of them", due to their too close proximity to the Earth and their mixing with the earthly [which is Matter and therefore the region of evil], "sometimes agree with (Divine) Nature, sometimes resist it." When these circulations, which Eliphas Levi calls “flows of the Astral Light” in the universal Ether, containing all the elements, take place in harmony with the Divine Spirit, our Earth and all those belonging to it enjoy a fruitful period. The occult powers of plants, animals, and minerals are magically sympathetic or in harmony with the "higher natures," and the Divine Soul of man is in perfect harmony with these "lower" natures. But during the barren periods, the latter lose their magical sympathy, and the spiritual sight of the majority of mankind is so blinded that it loses all notion of the higher faculties of its Divine Spirit. We are in an infertile period; the eighteenth century, during which so rampant a fever of skepticism has spread, has produced the disbelief it has transmitted as a hereditary disease to the nineteenth century. The divine mind is clouded in man, and only his animal brain "philosophizes." And by doing nothing but philosophizing, how can he understand the "Soul Doctrine"?
