1 Forms.
1. Divine thinking moves from the abstract to the concrete, or visible form.
a. The objective is the emanation of the subjective. D., I, 407). b. Impulse is the spiritual energy that causes objectivity. D., I, 349,) c. The Logos gives objectivity to the hidden thought. D., II, 28
2. In order for any form of energy to become objective, three components are required (T. D., I, 89:
a. Lack of separation. Initial impulse. Energy. Will. b. Form is quality, or shape. Nature. Love. c. Matter is an objective sphere. The active mind. (see. T. D., III, 561).
3. Life precedes form. D., 242
a. The thinker always remains. D., II, 28) b. The power of life is the transformation of the thought of the Logos into energy. D., III, 179
4. Spirit develops through form and out of form. D., I, 680
a. The spirit must attain full self-consciousness. D., I, 215) b. Form sharpens the spirit. (T. D., II, 775) c. The principle of limitation is a form. D., III, 561) Mr. The Spirit fills all the shells. D., I, 669, Note) d. The Spirit passes through the cycle of Being. (T. D., I, 160)
5. The devas are the source of form. D., I, 488) They exist in two large groups:
a. Ahhi is the vehicle of divine thought. D., I, 70) b. The Host of the Voice. (T. D., I, 124) They are the sum total of the substance of the four higher and three lower planes.
6. There is a form that unites all forms. D., I, 77, 118) This form is the totality of the whole manifested or the entire solar sphere, or system. It contains:
a. Ten planetary schemes with everything in them; b. All smaller interplanetary bodies; c. Virgo and human evolution; The kingdoms of nature are everywhere; d. Involutionary and Evolutionary Gods; e. Every atom of substance on every plane.
7. All forms are periodically destroyed. Read carefully (T. D., I, 397-401.)
WATER POSTS
These postulates are simply the development of the three main propositions given in the Prologue to the first volume of The Secret
Doctrines" E. P. Blavatsky.1
I. There is one Infinite Invariant Principle; one Absolute Reality prior to any manifested conditioned Being. It is beyond the reach of any human thought or expression.
The manifested universe is enclosed in this Absolute Reality and is its conditioned symbol. Collectively
There are three aspects of this manifested universe:
1. The First Cosmic Logos, Impersonal and Unmanifested, Predecessor of the Manifested. 2. The Second Cosmic Logos, Spirit-Matter, Life, Spirit of the Universe. 3. The Third Cosmic Logos, Cosmic Thinking, Universal World Soul.
From these basic creative principles come in a certain order countless universes,
It includes an infinite number of manifested stars and solar systems.
Each Solar System is a manifestation of the energy and life of the great Cosmic Existence that we,
For lack of a better term, we call it the Solar Logos. This Solar Logos is incarnated, that is, it reaches manifestation, through the medium of the Solar System.
This Solar System is a body, or form, of given Cosmic Life, and it is trinified. This triple solar system can be described in terms of three aspects, or (according to Christian theology)
three persons.
Electric Fire, or Spirit.
1th Person ........... Father. Life. Will. Purpose.
Positive energy.
2th Person ........... Son. Consciousness. Love is Wisdom. Balanced energy.
Sunfire, or the soul.
3th Person ........... Holy Spirit. Form. Active intelligence.
Negative energy.
The Fire of Friction, or Body, or Matter.
Each of these three aspects is also threefold in manifestation, thus forming:
(a) Nine Powers, or Emanations; (b) Nine Sephiroth; (c) Nine Causes of Initiation.
They together with the totality of manifestation, or the Whole, form the ten (10) of perfect manifestation, or
The perfect man.
These three aspects of the Whole are present in each form:
(a) The solar system is a trinity, manifesting itself through the three aspects mentioned above. (b) The human being is also a trinity, manifesting itself as Spirit, Soul and Body, or Monad, Ego and Personality. (c) The atom, as it appears to the scientist, is also a trinity, since it is composed of a positive nucleus, negative
electrons and the totality of external manifestations, the result of the connection of the first two. The three aspects of each form are interrelated and allow for interaction because:
(a) Energy is in motion and circulating; (b) All forms in the Solar System are part of the Whole, not isolated units;
c) It is the basis of brotherhood, holy communion and astrology.
These three aspects of God, the Solar Logos, and Central Energy, or Forces (for these terms are synonyms), manifest themselves through the seven centers of power, the three principal and the four minor. These seven centers of logical power, in turn, are arranged in such a way that they form Entities, which are known as:
(a) Seven Planetary Logos, (b) Seven Spirits before the Throne, (c) Seven Rays, (d) Seven Heavenly Men.
The seven Logoi embody the seven types of differentiated power and are called the Lords of the Rays. The rays are called:
Ray I ... Ray of Will, or Power .. 1nd Aspect Ray II .. Ray of Love-Wisdom ....... 2nd Aspect Ray III Ray of Active Intelligence .. 3th Aspect
These are the three main rays.
Ray IV Ray of Harmony, Beauty and Art Ray V. Ray of Concrete Knowledge, or Science Ray VI Ray of Devotion, or Abstract Idealism Ray VII Ray of Ceremonial Magic, or Order
1 T.D., I, 42-44.
II. There is a basic law called the Law of Periodicity.
1. This law governs all manifestation, whether it is the manifestation of the Solar Logos through the solar system or the manifestation of the human being through the medium of form. This Law also governs all the kingdoms of nature.
(a) The Law of Economy
2. There are other laws related to the main one in the System. Here are some of them: the law that governs Matter, the Third aspect, the law that governs Soul, the Second aspect, the law that governs Spirit, the First aspect.
b) The Law of Attraction
The Law of Synthesis..
3. There are three cosmic laws. There are seven other Laws that also apply to the System and govern
by the manifestation of our Solar Logos: a) The Law of Vibration. b) The Law of Clutch. c) The Law of Decay. d) The Law of Magnetic Control. e) The Law of Fixation. e) The Law of Love. f) The Law of Sacrifice and Death.
4. Each of these Laws manifests itself chiefly on one or other of the seven planes of the solar system. 5. Each law periodically takes over the administration, each plan has its own period of manifestation and period of
Revocations (removals).
6. Every manifested life has three great cycles:
Birth .......... Life .............. Death is appearing... Involution...
Inert movement Tamasic life ...................
Growth ....................... The disappearance of evolution... Obscuring Activity... Rhythmic Movement Rajasic Life
Sattvic Life
7. Knowledge of cycles includes knowledge of number, sound and color. 8. Only the perfect adept has full knowledge of the secret of cycles.
III. All souls are the same as the Supersoul.
1. The Logos of the Solar System is Macrocosm. Man is the Microcosm. 2. The soul is an aspect of every life form from the Logos to the atom. 3. The connection between all souls and the Supersoul forms the basis of scientific belief in Brotherhood. Brotherhood is a fact.
existing in nature, not an ideal.
4. The Law of Correspondence explains the details of this relationship. The Law of Correspondence, or Analogy, is the explanatory Law of the System. He explains God to man.
5. Just as God is the Macrocosm for all the kingdoms of nature, man is the Macrocosm for all.
The prehuman kingdoms.
6. The purpose of the evolution of the atom is self-consciousness, as expressed in the human kingdom. 7. The purpose of human evolution is group consciousness, an example of which is the Planetary Logos. 8. The purpose of the Planetary Logos is Divine Consciousness, as exemplified by the Solar Logos. 9. The Solar Logos is the totality of all states of consciousness within the solar system.
2I. The seven system plans are:
1. The Divine Plan (Logos) 2. Monadic Plan (Monad) 3. Spiritual Plan 4. Intuitive plan

III. Plans of Logical Evolution: Seven Plans
The plans of the monadic evolution are the five plans of the plans of human evolution. The three worlds of the Seven are the number of the totality of manifestation. Three is the number of consciousness. One is the number of Life, or Spirit.

1 The Esoteric Doctrine states that this “Cosmic Evolution” concerns only our Solar System, whereas exoteric Hinduism, if we are not mistaken, applies these figures to the entire system of the universe. 2 Another point of difference. Occultism states that the astral prototypes of the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms, up to humanity, spent this time (300 million years) developing from the discarded materials of the previous Round. Although very dense and physical in their own cycle, those materials were relatively ethereal compared with the materiality of our present middle Round. After these 300 million years, Nature, moving downwards towards the physical and material, begins with humanity and works by condensing or materialising forms as it proceeds. Thus, fossils found in strata that should be dated not to 18 million but to many hundreds of millions of years actually belong to forms of the previous Round. In life, these were much more ethereal than physical in our understanding of the word. That we see and excavate them as tangible forms is due to the process of materialisation and crystallisation to which we have alluded. This occurred successively at the beginning of the Fourth Round and reached its limit after humanity appeared, proceeding alongside human physical evolution. This alone illustrates that the Earth’s degree of materiality changes pari passu with that of its inhabitants. Humanity therefore now finds as tangible fossils what were once, to its present senses, ethereal forms of the lower kingdoms. The Brahmanical figures above concern the evolution that began on Sphere A and in the First Round. This volume concerns only the present Fourth Round. 3 The author cannot undertake to explain this discrepancy and the changes in the last three groups of figures. By every calculation, subtracting three hundred million should leave 1,655,884,687. Here, however, the figures are given as they appear in the Tamil Calendar mentioned above and as they were translated. The school of the recently deceased pandit Dayananda Sarasvati, founder of the Arya Samaj, gives a period of 1,960,852,987. See Arya Magazine, published in Lahore, whose cover bears the words “Aryan Era 1,960,852,987”. 4 Vaivasvata Manu is the One Human Being—some versions add seven Rishis—who, in the allegory of the Matsya Avatar, was saved during the Flood in a boat, like Noah in the Ark. This Manvantara of Vaivasvata must therefore be a “post-diluvian” period. This does not, however, refer to the later “Atlantean” or Noah’s Flood, still less to the Cosmic “Flood” or Pralaya, the obscuration preceding our Round, but to humanity’s appearance in the last Round. Nevertheless, a major distinction is made between Naimittika, the Occasional or Periodic; Prakritika, the Elemental; Atyantika, the Absolute; and Nitya, the Perpetual Pralaya. The last is described as “Brahma’s supposed reunion of the universe at the end of a Day of Brahma”. A learned Brahmin Theosophist asked: “Is there such a thing as Cosmic Pralaya at all? In that case, the Logos (Krishna) would have to be born again, yet he is Aja, unborn.” We do not see why. The Logos is said to be born only metaphorically, just as the Sun is born each day—or, rather, as its ray is born in the morning and said to die when it disappears, although it is merely reabsorbed into its parent substance. Cosmic Pralaya applies only to visible things, not to the Arupa World, the world without forms. Pralaya occurs only at the end of a hundred Years of Brahma, when universal dissolution is said to occur. Then, according to the exoteric Scriptures, Avyaya, Eternal Life, symbolised by Vishnu, takes the aspect of Rudra the Destroyer, enters the Seven Rays of the Sun and drinks all the waters of the universe. “Thus nourished, the seven Solar Rays expand into seven suns and burn the entire Cosmos.” 5 For a Maha-Yuga is one thousandth of a Day of Brahma.
Since the Night of Brahma is of the same duration, one day and night of Brahma will contain
8,640,000,000.
360 such days and nights constitute one Year of Brahma, equal to
3,110,400,000,000.
100 such years constitute the full period of the Age of Brahma, i.e., Maha-Kalpa
311,040,000,000,000.
These are the exoteric figures accepted throughout India, and they correspond fairly closely to the figures of the Hidden Teachings. The latter, moreover, supplement them by a division into several Esoteric Cycles, never mentioned in the publicly available Brahminic writings - one of which, namely the division of the South into Race Cycles, is given as an example elsewhere. The rest, of course, have never been published in their details. Nevertheless, they are known to every "twice-born" (Jvija or Initiate) brahmin, and the Puranas contain mention of some of them in disguised terms, which none of our Orientalists have yet tried to decipher, nor could they if they even wanted to.
